Qwerty, I have always used GCMUtility's shrink function and I haven't experienced anything wrong. What kind of things are supposed to be messed up?i just used disc-ex 8 and i am playing gc games perfectly
I know GCMUtility's shrink function messes stuff up, which is why you have to fstfix afterward

@[member='FIX94'], is it possible for you to modify CFG USB Loader to be able to useIn the how to thread I wrote how to use the loaders too, see 'On your wii'.
Well I'm now working on wiiflow, maybe I'll add it to cfg-loader too someday...is it possible for you to modify CFG USB Loader to be able to use
DML to load GC from SD just like you did for Wiiflow (R417 mod) ?
(maybe you need to check with oggzee first ??)
Shrinking just saves card space. Aligning the files to 32k boundaries does increase performance due to way DML does block reads.

That sounds logical and right in theory but sadly the games don't read like that, so that's a waste of time and space to realign all files to 32kB.
If you are trying a game which isn't on the compatibility list first you should always use a perfect 1:1 dump and once you can confirm it works you should try "discEX -c", since there ARE games that break after compressing (Geist, Metroid 1, Metroid 2, and maybe others).
There is NO need to run the through other tools like fstFIX or GCMUtility.
Aligning all files to 32KB makes only sense if you have an ISO that was previously incorrectly shrinked/compressed.
Shrink it to save space, if a game does not work align them, and if it does not work try using a 1:1 dump.So in my case, i don't need to compress them since i have a 32Gb class 10 SD card.

Do what you want if you have so much space, saving space is not needed then.I'm not sure i understand what you're saying there since you're negating twice.
Why do i need to save space if i have plenty of space?
Sorry for my bad english. I try tell you is good shrink the games and if any one does not work you try aligning them and if no work whit that try a 1:1 dump.I'm not sure i understand what you're saying there since you're negating twice.

Modmii was created by THE GREEEEAAAAAAT XFLAAAKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!I have to add that the ModMii Batch file package was very well done (whoever made it).
For me the version that works better seems to be the r12. Also on my wii, only the r21 debug works. r21 standard just black screen... this is strange as I've seen a lot of ppl using r21...
@DML team, I noticed that there are currently not any DML downloads marked as "Featured". Can you mark one of the DML downloads as "Featured" to see if LinkFan16's problem from here goes away? Or if you prefer I can remove the check for which downloads are featured, whatever you want![]()
