I don't think the info on the shoptemp description (about the CPU) is very accurate

and as for the affiliate link, better keep that in your sig indeed.
zeromac, no need to get so angry, you can just report the post to moderators

Well, someone will have to review the A330 right? That's one way to be sure.
Anyhow, sorry about the referral link business, I figured it might be a different case with ShopTemp being a partner site and all.

I believe this whole dingo thing is just really a waste of money, i mean it would be more logical getting a DSTWO instead (considering you have a DS in the first place)... but still you can pick up a used Lite and buy the DSTWO and it will weigh out to be the same.
I disagree. The Dingoo is a lot smaller and has already proven it has great emulation power (considering its size). I've been playing Super Mario RPG for a while with Dingux (albeit, not 100%, but fully playable). It also has okay PSX emulation as well along with many more other cool stuff. On the flip side, the SCDS2 hasn't really proved itself in terms of its emulation capabilities. The official GBAtemp preview didn't reveal much in the way of emulation besides the GBA emulator, which, if it is anything like the iPlayer emulator, is pretty much on par with the Dingoo. Granted, the SCDS2 has shown a lot of great features already, but it is not the same thing as a Dingoo.

The SNES emulator was apparently not ready for launch.
And apparently, the SCDSTwo CPU is more powerful than the iPlayer, so it's possible that with updates, the GBA emu will be even better than the iPlayer.

The price and the small differences with the A320 really make me think about whether I should buy one or not. I'll wait for the next-gen Dingoo and most likely buy that one. (If there ever is one, that is.)

Hmm... official site of the DINGOO says they never Made a Dingoo A330 and the one looking like a PSP is a fake and they are using their trademark.

so GBATEMP Shop's selling the fake Dingoo A330 and passing it as a real?

Wow, what's going on? Are these A330's real or not?

Perhaps someone over at Shoptemp could provide us with the answer?

They probably based the price on the hardware, and the fact that they get no game licencing fees like Sony and Nintendo do, and that they'll be lucky to sell 1% as many systems as the PSP.

Looking at the page history on Wikipedia (the source of all true facts), it seems the company started out on mainland China, and then either moved to Hong Kong and changed its name, or a clone company sprang up and tried to take over ownership of the brand.

My money's on the original company splitting up, and some of the original people being in each company. The same thing's happened a few times in the flashcart business.

from what Another World stated in other topics, there was a split in the team, now both parties are claiming ownership of the brand and calling eachother fakes...
this will need further investigation i guess ? they're both saying "we're the real deal, the other one is fake"... for all you know, either could be saying the truth? how do we know?
ShopTemp is definitely in contact with people who call themselves the dingoo team (team, company, manufacturer, whatever) !

edit: that site you linked (dingoo.cn) doesnt look like the real deal...

I got a Dingoo for $80 and it's ok. My opinion is that you'd need to do far more than double the ram to make it worth buying. A new cpu and better sound would be a good start. The sound is so bad on the Dingoo. I got a Wiz for $124 and the Wiz destroys the Dingoo in every category. For the A330 to be competitive they should have done a full redesign or kept the price at $80.
