Hacking Difference between 4.4 and 4.5FW

Hi everyone, my 3dsxl is running 4.4 and I was wondering what the differences between 4.4 and 4.5 were and if it was worth finding a game to update to it. Thanks for the info, I couldn't find it easily online.

I think it was another one of those flash cart blocking updates.

4.5 changelog:

Yeah that basically spells "anti-Piracy". I'm sure there's some real stability problems that it fixed but not concerning enough for an update.

Why not take advantage of the last Sysmenu that works with the GW if you want it?

Because it would require buying a game he wouldn't otherwise want and not offer him any real features?

I heard somewhere that ROMS aren't recommended for updating with, but if I was to do an update, I would just borrow a game from my local library.

Because two of my flashcards don't work with 4.5 but with 4.4

Best is to just shelf out some extra money for a proper flashcard (DSTwo etc)
R4's work but there's a billion of them.

Nope: A Ace3DS plus (no new revision; yep, it's a clone) and a faulty R4i 3DS from R4ids.cn (I decided against sending it back).
By the way: I have a SCDS2, a GW3DS, a CycloDS iEvo and some more cards.

I always was attracted to the card (DSi mode homebrew)
But since I had no DSi I never gotten a chance to grab it.
For me, I had a M3 Real once and upgraded to a DStwo (at DSTwo's launch)
Before that, Supercard SD + Passkey/Passcard 3 all the way <3

I said that the Ace3DS is a clone At least I got it for free.
I'm not that long in the scene but I have an EZPass 3 and an EZ Flash 4 lite deluxe for GBA games . In addition, I own a DS-Xtreme (I love the dancing LEDs function) and a R4i from R4issdhc.com which I bricked with an official update (altough I made nothing wrong...).

gateway has been said to work from 4.1 to 4.5 so no difference there

only if you need to play a retail game that has 4.5 but if you dont then just stick with 4.4
dont fix whats not broken
