in LGE/LGP that not only online trade/battles can be done but also local multiplayer as well or do you think it's online only (which imo is the final nail in nintendo's koffing (lol had to do it) for me)

After looking it up for you . It may seem that it may need a subscription for online play via the new online services. But as of right now, no one knows 100%. I can't see them doing online only for trading... Than again.... It's integrated with Pokemon Go .So probably is online only meaning you NEED to pay the subscription for Nintendo Network .

There will be online trades and battles. They even show demonstration. It was just miss translation that there won't be online part of game.
