Lol, kisamesama, you realize you are in the devolution topic right?

Also, the AP "discussion" has been discussed a few times already, if you still want to contribute to it, go to the thread link maxternal posted.
If you want to continue this here, you run the risk of your post getting deleted or getting a warning from the mods.

And while I think that tueidj may sometimes sound a little off putting to some (i personally dont mind) it is perfectly understandable that he is pissed of with people complaining about his work methods when he is doing a FREE service FOR YOU. You should be thankful he does what he does instead of complaining about things that you dislike.

Quite right, and don't forget about the classic controller support will also be added for free, for everybody to use. tueidj could probably be doing other things that profit him and not the community, you'd think that the pirates would appericiate free stuff.

i do think thats ultimately what he's looking for though. He's hoping that someone at Nintendo or a company like that will notice that he found a way to take retail discs copy them to a hard drive and make them playable without having to use the disc again, but not able to be used for pirating reasons. Its a brilliant proof of concept that could be used for perhaps the Wii U if Nintendo were interested in his services, or heck maybe the same idea could be moved to the 3DS. Hell, I'd like to be able to have all my 3DS games copied to my SD card so I don't have to carry each game with me (I'm aware they are releasing games in digital format, but I don't think they have any plans of allowing users to rip their games to their SD card). Maybe I'm wrong, but it really does seem to be the only logical thing to me, he's trying to show off his coding skills, and kudos to him for that, but I have to think that their are better more appealing to the masses ways of getting jobs, afterall, Geohatz (or whatever the heck that guys name was) is now making big bucks at facebook because he found a way to softmod the PS3. Because think about it this way, the gamecube games you might have once owned, or maybe even never owned, in order to get them on using devolution, you have to buy them used, they aren't sold new anymore. This means that neither Nintendo nor the developer are seeing money for what you're doing anymore anyway. So it seems pointless. However, I'm also aware that once the Wii U supports gamecube virtual console games, this point is pretty null, but even then, it doesn't make sense to add these AP measures for the sake of making sure the creators of the games still see profits, because they wont, Gamestop however will, and they've done such a great job at not ripping off the people that trade in those very games.

Sorry to go on a rant, and this probably would be better for the other topic, it honestly doesn't bother me that much. But I do think its all a little silly to say the least.

Hello guys. I skipped a bit through this topic and couldn't really find what I was looking for.. (or maybe I didn't look hard enough) I have a clean wii, no mods or anything on it, I have my original PSO disc. What I'm asking is, is there any kind person out there who can pm me a step by step process on how to setup my wii with all the necessary things in order to play pso online? =] Like, I think you need homebrew? and an SD card? I have the SD card but no homebrew.

I already have a job that I'm quite happy with, I get to work my own hours and make up my own rates - not really something I'd want to trade in for a job with ninty. Also from what I heard, after barely 6 months at facebook Geohot either got fired for slacking off or quit because it wasn't challenging enough, depending on who you speak to.

Use modmii to softmod your wii

Well like Geohot, the job wouldn't have to be for the company you exploit, just proof of your coding skills. And as I said, kudos, you definitely showed them off, but I do stand by the thought that it all seems a bit silly. Especially if you're not looking for a job, I truly don't understand what the point is. The creators of these games aren't going to see money now if we go out and buy used copies (The only copies we can buy) of them. I know there's this whole "pirates are bad," thing, but isn't buying used copies just as much of a middle finger to the game creators as pirating them? To them it makes no difference, they already have seen the money for the one time that used copy was bought brand new.

What happens when those games become available for sale again using a different form of media, after everybody's already pirated the shit out of them?

You said it makes little differences to you whether there's AP or not, so no need to talk about it anymore. There's one, that's all.
I cleaned the topic, There's this thread for discussing it.

Now, let's get back on track.
Thank you.

Question: If I verify my disk with say Wiiflow as my base loader, and then update my loader.bin from r142 to current (or any other one for that matter), would I have to re-verify? Also, if we do, perhaps a secondary file (encrypted) that holds the disk verification (paired with unique console info) would be best?

Many thanks for making this Tueidj, DIOS MIOS Lite was NOT working for me at all, to great distress.

Nope, verification is not tied to the version of Devolution you are using.

Thank you very much, I'll update later today. I will say that as Devolution doesn't have cheat patching yet (or I haven't found it yet), it's forced me to accept a challenge :-P. Nemesis is kicking my butt.

It's too bad everyone's getting their panties in a twist over the AP. I think this is a great little application and I can't wait for wiimote support. I will say it's too bad tueidj won't do video patching for widescreen displays, but it's a small matter.

For anyone playing PSO through their wii and on SCHT server, when trying to join a game at the counter, do you see any rooms? I see none and there are several people around me joining games. I can create one but nothing happens when I do. Just freezes up like it does sometimes when I hit "join game" to look for rooms. .-.

Edit: Was actually able to make a game after 5 tries but still can't see games on the list to join.

You're probably on the "Stanfield" ship, which is used mainly by PSO Blue Burst (PC) players - gamecube players can't join their games. Use the "Elouise" ship instead.

Yup, was just about to edit message. Had the wrong ship lol Anyway, nice work and for those who helped, thanks!

Edit: Not sure about anyone else but when playing, I can't pickup items after a few minutes and my chat only appears for like 5 minutes as well then I can't say anything anymore. Also, when trying to leave the game and save, I get this screen each time: http://i.imgur.com/NiHZO.png

Which only way to get rid of is by resetting the wii and that means all non-equipped items in my inventory + meseta will poof when I launch the game again. Btw, this only happens on SCHT server. Leet's server doesn't do this at all and plays just perfect.

If you can't pick up items or chat it means the connection has been lost. Either your wii's wifi connection is dropping out (unlikely since you say leetserv works) or schtserv is disconnecting for some reason - I don't know if they kick hacked characters or maybe your serial number/access key aren't legitimate, these may be possible reasons but it's not something I can help with, I've personally never had any connection issues with them.

Interesting. I have the same access key/serial number since I got the game back when Sega's servers were still online. Hasn't changed since and I still use the same disc too. Though it does question me about the "hacked" characters. I do have some items I traded players years ago which may or may not be legitimate items. Maybe that is causing it? But even then that doesn't make sense since I played on scht's servers for quite some time before I sold my gamecube a few years ago. I'll trial and error to see what's going on with it ^^
