Update performs as advertised. I can confrim everything is the way it is supposed to be, Sample Loader AND USBLoaderGX latest update tested. Thanx for fixing mario Sunshine :) Now if we can get a Fix on F-Zero we are all happy^^

Feature Request:
Is it possible to add button combos for the Gamecube Controller to reset the system like DiosMios?
  • Reset / Power off via button combo (R + Z + Start) / (R + Z + B + D-Pad Down)
That would be great if this is feasible.

tueidj has already said that he intends to add this capability once classic controller support is available, as there will be plenty of spare buttons between CC and Wii Remote. I think he said he doesn't want to do it with a GC controller combo, but I guess it should be possible to have the buttons on the Wii Remote working for the purpose of reset/power off, while having the GC controller actually control the game.

-Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes graphical corruption is now fixed, the codec 2D animated pictures still aren't animated though, and the game freeze at the first encounter with Meryl :(, could be due video cut-scenes are out of sync?
-The freeze in P.N.03 before fighting the first boss is gone :)

I can confirm that Metal Gear solid textures are working fine now using R157. However there are random freezes. I loaded my save file in the jeep escape prior to the last battle with soldiers and Liquid Snake and it froze when about to go to the final cut-scene. Also when I entered the codec screen, no codec images displayed and the framerate dropped to almost 5 fps. I was able to finish this with an old version with graphical textures. A few more fixes and I think this would be perfect soon.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars does not work, as with some of the other star wars titles, it returns back to the HBC.

How come I don't need the retail disc in the drive when loading a backup disc? oh, nvm.

Which other Star Wars games? Bounty Hunter and Jedi Knight 2 both work, the people who originally added them to the compatibility list haven't updated the entries.

Edit: Ok, this game is stupid. It's using some custom virtual memory crap and crashes itself on purpose during the initialization, just so it can catch the crash and fix itself. WTF.

I had a few rounds with Wiipower in the Neogamma r9 thread about this game, he eventually got it working.

The first post don't seem to tell what is the requirements of devolution to run the GC games, HBC 1.0.8 or higher installed? I may have installed a different cMIOS for DM lite. I did rip the game with Cleanrip to my usb hdd, then copied it to the games folder, so I'm not using an iso patched for dml. Sorry, I've been away from the scene most of the summer.

A way to load homebrew(e.g. Homebrew Channel, Postloader, Wiiflow, a game exploit, etc.), and the newest IOS 58. That's it. No CMIOSes or anything else required, aside from legit retail copies of your games(for anti-piracy verification purposes, it's a one-time thing) and Gamecube Controllers(for now). You don't even need a memory card, since Devolution can emulate one for you.

Has anyone gotten devolution with USB loader gx to work for them? I've tried but it's not working for me. I posted about it here:

Understood. But to be honest it would be comfortable if the GameCube Controller can be used to return to the HBC. So you don't need to grab your wiimote or classic controller or anything else.
Plus: You can use it right now.

I only use USB Loader GX. you ahve to launch it from homebrew channel SD card. dont launch it from HDD or the system menu (forwarder or other channel) because that does not work. also, only use USB loader if you tried the sample loader beforehand. Sometimes you have a general setup problem. I compiled a list of dos and donts a few pages back, maybe ill do that again^^

^ I found your list. I did all of that. I launched usb loader from the homebrew channel on the the SD card. But it's still not working. I'm getting the same "file not found" error. And yes I have the loader.bin in the devolution loader path. By the way, all my gamecube games load just fine on the sample loader. Maybe I should just go back to using that...

This isn't the place to discuss GX issues. This is for games that were run from the sample loader.

I know that man. I made a post about it here:

http://gbatemp.net/topic/149922-usb-loader-gx/page__st__16230__gopid__4409425#entry4409425

But I was just wondering if anyone here on this thread could help me.
