It's more to narrow down the issue so that you can report the issue more accurately on the compatibility wiki.

On a completely different note, seriously mods, is there a reason you guys can't remove the following three lines from the opening post? tueidj hasn't even logged on to GBATemp since NOVEMBER 2nd, so he's not going to be fixing the post anytime soon.
  • (current release is r159)
  • F-Zero GX always gets stuck after the first few title screens.
  • - Wiimote support

Better even, use the sample loader...if it doesnt work there, there must be something wrong with your game rip strai.

I used cleanrip to backup my gc games. I use devolution r200 because my gc controller joystick up and down stopped working. My only option now is the cc pro or ds3 controller.

I will try the sample loader and see if that helps

I've been posting this stuff in the middle of the night, I can't go turning on the TV and Wii and risk waking people! It'll have to wait until at least tomorrow...which is technically today actually.

Anyway you'll have to wait at least 12 hours - not only are people sleeping but I'm practically ready for bed myself.

EDIT: And even then by the time I'm mentally awake enough, said other people or person will probably be hogging the TV until they/he is ready to go to sleep resulting in me not being able to test it until maybe the day after that...or the day after that...and so on.

You picked a bad week, there's a reason I got my testing with the classic controllers out of the way at the beginning of the week - my/our sleep schedules will be practically opposite of each other for the entirety of this week.

I think a simple addendum would be nice to add to the 1st post. So the actual post is not really edified

Hello, first of all congratulations to Tueidj for his work on the emulator Game Cube with compatibility for Wii U.
But there is have a problem.

Indeed being the owner of a Wii U, I do not have a Wii.
How could I read my original backups of Game Cube, there have a way to remove drm for buyers Wii U?

As of right now, you're out of luck.

The game ripping part is not as much of a problem as there are other (unmentionable) sources to get GC rips.
As for the verification, do you happen to know anyone with a GC-compatible Wii that would let you use their Wii for 10 minutes while you plug your HDD into it and then pop in all your GC retail disks one by one?

Otherwise, unfortunately, you'd still have to wait a little bit longer for Nintendon't to be released.

... did I missed something here?? What is Nintendon't suppose to be? I tried asking my good friend google and he don't know either.
Please explain if you can. Thanks.

Just a heads up, I can definitely confirm that there's something borky with Luigi's Mansion regarding use of the shoulder buttons on both the original and pro classic controller. However, I had no such issues with Mario Sunshine.

Both games DID however have analog stick issues that were solved with a reboot or two.

As someone who lacks the experience to make something with others' source code, i have a question:
what are the chances someone can enable the wii u pro controller for wii games, using the code found in this project? or, at least, enable it for SSBB?

EDIT: upon further reading,

It's possible but I think it would be a bit awkward to squeeze a patch in for... If someone else wanted to do it, they'd have to do this:
- Identify the controller as a wiiu pro before the game attempts to read any data from the "wiimote". Either read and check the extension id (wiiu pro last byte == 0x20) or check the controller's bluetooth name (which is something like "Nintendo RVL-CNT-UC-01"). If an attempt to read data from the wiimote's memory is performed on a wiiu pro, it will disconnect (only the extension memory is available).
- Use one of the "long" extension data reporting modes, like mode 0x34 - the wiiu pro needs to report more than 6 bytes to send all the data.
- Process the "long" data reports to make the input data look like a classic controller. The four stick axes come first (four little-endian 16-bit words), reduce their precision to match the crappy classic controller (6 bits for left stick, 5 for right) followed by the buttons, which match the classic controller's button reports except for the addition of L3, R3 and the charging/fully charged flags which can all be ignored.

So,we can confirm that Luigi's Mansion has problems with the shoulder buttons.
I wonder how to inform tueidj about this issue.

Thank you Nintendo Maniac!

i tried using a gamecube wiimote adapter (wiiU) (where you can plug the gc controller into the wiimote), and in devo it appears it cant handle it too well and the wiimote will disconnect during the games while using that adapter with a wavebird controller.. havent tried it with a wired remote, but with the wavebird, it disconnects a lot..

So uh... have any of the loaders been updated to include the 1:1 button mapping option? I want my SNES layout for Nintendo Puzzle Collection dang it!
