fast test r196

Burnout - still have textures palette errors (ugly rainbow sky)
Star Wars Clone Wars - still don`t work (locks up on loading screen)

Looking through the sample loader code I've found some interesting changes. There are now two new options. One appears to be an option to change f-zero GX into f-zero AX and the other is a timer fix.
code said:
// This option may fix games that run faster than they are meant to, but it may also degrade performance
// (which is why it's optional).

EDIT
and there seem to be some code to handle more than one wiimote at once ... but I still haven't tried these out on the wii itself.

i tested the new build. it fixes the shader issues in the zelda games (both water and heat). there are still a few slight issues with the post processing effects (heat and water refraction when diving) but they are much better than previously.

my HDD always worked so i dont know what was changed there.

Oh I happen to have one of those PS1/2 to USB (Lightgun Converter) on me. I could test this out soon.
The sample loader code makes me think that you can at least choose your game with SOME model of that kind of adapter. If your adapter happens to work in the sample loader, go ahead and test it in-game, too. (I doubt it but it's worth a try.)

I could not get my PS1/2 to USB (Lightgun Converter) or even a PS3 controller working. How did someone get PSX controllers working?
It's just that in the source code for both r188 and r196 in the part that pays attention to what button is pushed, there's a section marked as being for "PSX-USB", part for "Wiimote" and part for "Gamecube"

Sweet! Now Extreme G3 will probably work again. Playing it through Devolution made it run ridiculously fast.

Not only does my USB3 WD Passport work now but Alien Hominid runs flawlessly! It's a good day. Glad that this guy is still maintaining the code.

Okay, here's the r196 sample loader mod that I added a little options menu to. I don't have any speed problem games or f-zero but it seemed to set the widescreen and no activity light options just fine for me.

left and right to choose and 1,2,x or y to set.
source code included.

TEST & REPORT BUGS PLZ

The options that can be changed
WiFi logging
Widescreen
Drive activity light
F-zero GX to AX patch
Timer fix for excessively fast games.

EDIT : here's the latest version for you guys (r200)
http://www.mediafire.com/download/kq5xxl5ktybiaem/gc-devo-mod2-200.zip
and this is mod2, too, which will also show game.iso files in sub-folders like DM(L) traditionally uses (and switch to their corresponding disc2.iso files as well)

I also updated the devolution plugin for WiiFlow to r196
http://www.mediafire.com/?ajxxa19kbrhu114
The new options can be set the same way the old ones were with r188
You just sum the numbers for all the options you want turned on and add it as a last argument (like it is in the widescreen INI that's included)
1 - WiFi log
2 - widescreen
4 - no activity light
8 - F-Zero GX to AX patch
16 - timer fix extra for fast games

EDIT : Apparently using the F-Zero and timer fix options in that version just screwed everything up
Here's the latest (r200) and working version

For this one, you have the added option of
32 - use direct button mapping on Bluetooth controllers
