still trying to get the emulator to dump mip textures thats missing.

If I release it, it'll be broken where you'll see textures flickering between the default PS2 textures and my textures.
okay...but you still can release your pack for those who want check it. Those like me...i guess...

The mip maps would probably not load, if you replace them. I made a bug report for this a while ago, but to this day I got no reaction.
The texture replacement system was made by Stenzek and the mip map implementation also either by Stenzek or Refraction, I think. Both are retired though and I think there is now a gap of expertise.

The emulator loads them OK, just dumping and finding the right ones to replace is the issue.

So they are not named as *-mip? Then the textures are either not flagged as mip maps or the mipmapping option in your settings is disabled. In FlatOut 2 the filenames change to *-mip if mipmapping is enabled. If mipapping is diabled, the textures will also dump but with different file names which makes them hard to find. In DQ8 this options changes nothing, because the mip maps are obviously not flagged as such. They are recognized as individual textures.

obviously its enabled and they're named as mip, not sure why your commenting as such in this thread thats not related.

Well you said that you can't find the mipmaps, so I assumed they are not named as mip. Not sure what your problem is. Are you always so rude, if someone tries to help you?

Not rude, just an irrelevant post in a completely different game, plus I said I'm missing some mip textures that the emulator isn't dumping, would be silly to make such statement if the dump mip option is turned off.

Anyhow, if you wish to discuss further, please do so in the thread I've just created along with a download link (here).
