It seems the Submit Apps template is kinda uncomplete.
Not every homebrew uses only 3dsx/smdh files (for example every single lpp-3ds based homebrew uses at least one .lua file).

Then you'll have to pack the .lua file with the .3dsx file
(but yes we are going to add zip support )

lpp-3ds is born with the matter of not requiring any kind of C/C++ compiler installed and not requiring C/C++ skills to be used (this is why interpreted languages exists) so, your request is impossible. (instead ninjhax is limited by a certain size for 3dsx).

Yes, as I said, we will add that at a later date (hbb doesn't support it either). zip files isn't that high of a prio yet. the biggest prio is currently to fix some bugs that keeping us from release dmii.

Currently no, unless you are willing to create an app that downloads and installs that theme :/
(this is however planned for the future)
