How to configure Desmume

1. Open Config menu and select 3D Setting. Change Renderer into SoftRasterizer Mode and click OK.

2. Next, open Config menu again and select Sound Setting. Select Synchronous (sometimes needed
for streams). Then, change Sound Core into None if your PC is not fast enough. If your PC is very
fast, stay with Direct Sound Interface. Change Interpolation into None if your PC is not faster.

3. Next, select Synch Method "Z" and click OK. Next, open Config menu and select Path Settings.

4. Change directory setting for Roms, Save Ram, States etc... which Desmume.exe located. Make
sure you makes new directory one for them. Click OK if you finished!

5. Change Frame skip into 9. For WIFI setting, choose Infrastructure and click OK. WARNING! WIFI
function is under testing 1-2-3 because sometimes works or sometimes not.

6. Finally, open Config menu and select control config. Change setting for your keyboard right now.

Click OK and your job is over! Enjoy playing the games!

If you're NOT comfortable playing around with configuration settings, then you SHOULD NOT be attempting to set up an emulator for a more recent system on your computer. Various games have different requirements; you may have to play around with emulator settings to run a game fluently. Simply changing a few settings usually gives the emulator a general-"smoothnesS".

But ultimately, emulators are designed for a rather strong computer! If you don't have a strong computer then they won't work adequately, in which case, you can't cry to anyone but yourself. That being said, if you have game-specific needs in the future, type in google; "______ " "+" Desmume"(name of emulator) and search/read for compatibility threads. As gracious as people may be, they're not going to be particularly happy if you make demands, so it's important to remember to be humble.
