With this side showing, no one, except other owners of the card can tell you. If we would be able to see the connectors, we could be more likely to tell. But I guess it will be an 8GB cartridge, maybe even just a 4GB.

If this is your card then it would be highly appreciated if you dumped the game! We could potentially learn something from this card if you did, even if it is small

I do have an early model switch. Not too familiar with the hacking scene but any recommendstions on what programs to get a dump of the cartridge would be helpful. I heard its a 32gb card switch kiosk update cartridge in my research but nothing else. Inserted into a switch the card will not be read

If you're comfortable with hacking it I can help you do that and then the dumping process. Do note that hacking a Switch always carries the risk of being banned from using Nintendo's online services on that particular unit so keep that in mind.

If you're comfortable with hacking it I can help you do that and then the dumping process. Do note that hacking a Switch always carries the risk of being banned from using Nintendo's online services on that particular unit so keep that in mind.

As long as he is able to do the whole process from RCM mode (no CFW needed) there is zero risk of a ban.

Wasn't there something that logged the number of times the console was in RCM mode? And is there a cart dump payload?

1. Pretty sure there's not.
2. Not that I can find. emuNAND is also an option (turn airplane mode on and delete all connections before creating, unplug router to be extra safe) and he can also patch emuNAND with https://gbatemp.net/threads/incognito_rcm-wipe-personal-information-to-reduce-risk-of-ban.549462/ for extra safety though it's not needed if he never connects to a wifi. There should be zero chance of a ban with a completely offline emuNAND.

While I'm sure it is, I have no experience with emuNAND since I'm just using my sysNAND in Airplane Mode with all connections deleted.

I sent him the sdsetup.com guide because that seems to be the closest to the steps I did when hacking my Switch, but it's good to know alternatives exist and he may choose whichever he prefers. One thing though, he said he's on the latest firmware. Is there anything that's not fully supported on 9.1.0? (Asking for myself too, on 8.1.0 atm and I'd like to update if everything works.)

Alright I hacked my ps vita and Wii U a year or two ago. Lets see how troublesome this is lol.

The Switch is not too complicated imo. Most people got A9LH running on New 3DS systems, and that has been way harder to do.
