Hacking deleting pkg files on hen

I recently installed hen on my ps3. I'm wondering can I delete pkg files from the hdd once they've been installed or do I need to keep them in the packages folder to keep using them?

Once a pkg is installed, you can safely delete it, be it a homebrew or a game.
