Umm I booted the .nds file and it said use at your own risk bla bla bla
I pressed A

But there are sections with flashcart lists!
I went to the R4i-SDHC list (because it had R4i-SDHC 3DS listed on it)

and then I closed my DSi and got scared

What do I do? I have a card SIMMILAR to the R4i-SDHC 3DS but it doesn't have the 3DS logo and it says 1.4 on it!

*shivers like Luigi*

It is simple if your card isn't on the list then you don't have a compatible card for the exploit.

Ohoho, of course I have a magnet!
Kinda...

Y'see, whenever I place the right-bottom corner of the system on top of the DSi XL's speaker, it triggers sleep mode safely!

Anyway if your cart isn't in the picture of carts have shown then you can't use it for NTRBoothax.

I have an R4i-SDHC 3DS (but without the 3DS logo and with a 1.4 mark)

also, on the bottom of the card sticker, it says "2010.07"

WAIIITTT...

how is R4 ultra WHICH existed in 2009, is NTR-boot compatible?

Did the creator travel between 2018 and 2009 to ship these cards?

Or are there pararell universes

OoOoo

each of these cards (mostly) are by diffrent teams and each have diffrent Firms, Programming commands/NAND Flash. your card just likely has either too hard a NAND flash to Reverse engineer to make it compatible, or wasn't designed for Updates/doesnt have room for the NTRBoot payload or its locked down.

so Sorry your card isnt on the list , it isnt compatitble, what i mentioned earlier on page 2 are your only options. stop being a cheap ** and pony up 2$ for a DSiWare game for Seedminer, or wait for Smealum's Exploit chain to be made into something usable for your older FW System

Yep, didn't look deep enough

OH! I HAVE AN IDEA!

My friend said he has an action replay DS!

"SoO? SO, I'll visit him, he'll flash his cart (he said he doesn't need it) and then I'll use his computer to set up the 3DS luma thingies and then I'll go home...

I just wanted to play with my R4i, also, school is coming very soon, not gonna bother anymore

until then...

I'll just buy a VISA 20 euro card

But there's something I worry alot about...

What if nintendo releases a new update?

Then I won't be able to go to eshop because of the update...

But I have ctr-httpwn on my homebrew and it says "Bypass required sysupdates"

If I install it, will I be able to access eshop while required update exists?
ctr-httpwn no longer works. But ntrboot and seedminer work on any firmware, and once the 3DS is hacked it will stay hacked even if you update.
*sigh*
I'll try ntrboot
also btw, I don't need a magnet
One day, I accidentally put my 3ds ON my dsi xl (both opened) and the 3ds entered sleepmode

So...
Magnet: :yay:
NTRboot card::mellow:
Your cart isn't on the compatibility list. BUT, there's a chance the R4i-SDHC 3DS RTS firmware can be used with it.
If not, I suggest you use that €20 prepaid visa to buy a compatible DSiWare game for seedminer. That will definitely work. Or better yet, help your friend hack his in exchange for an eShop card so you can hack yours.

There's a chance it could work but there's also a chance it could brick the cart and you might not be able to restore it to working order.
ARDS is a safer bet, that's guaranteed to work, as long as you/he has a DS phat/lite that it will work on in order to flash it.

Thanks for the tip, just backed up my old R4i files and saves (in case of bricc) and downloaded R4i-SDHC 3DS firmware!

Let's see if it works!

ummmm... the bottom screen is blllaaack?
The top screen text is ok but...

the bottom screen is black, should I close it?

Did you try actually flashing ntrboot with the flasher? If it doesn't throw a "card not compatible error" you could give it a try

Although well if you get the ARDS well the end result is the same sooooo

Ummm it doesn't throw me a "not compatible, go away" error but whenever I select "RETAIL", it says 0% progress and then the screen goes black!

That's not completely true actually. Several R4i-SDHC carts are just the same cart and end up being compatible because of this fact. I just recently found that this cart is compatible with NTRBoot and it's not in the picture. This isn't always the case, but it's just worth noting.

What do you mean the screen goes black? I've never heard of that error happening before, unless something is wrong with your system.

You are seriously overreacting here. If you make a backup of your firmware using the flasher, then you are good to go. Please just stop what you are doing and listen to us.
Honestly you are making this harder for yourself.

What I mean is: I select the R4i-SDHC section, press A 3 times, then it says 0% progress, do not turn off the system bla blaaa and then after like 2 seconds, the BOTTOM screen goes black! (Or it just turns off idk)
