The ever-cryptic Hideo Kojima released a new trailer for his ever-cryptic upcoming title Death Stranding during PlayStation's TGS event. The video introduces a new character, the so called The Man in the Golden Mask, played by Troy Baker who is known for portraying several video game characters like Joel in The Last of Us and Kanji Tatsumi in Persona 4.

A few character art sets were also revealed during the event showing the previously announced cast as well as some new ones:

No more information was made available for Death Stranding so expect it sometime, somewhere, hopefully within our lifetimes...

Even after like an hour-worth of trailers and teasers, we still have absolutely no idea what this game is about, and I fucking love it because of that. I just hate when developers reveal 90% of the game through trailers before the game's release.

Jennifer Hale sucks? She's only one of the most well-known game voice actors.
Paul Eiding sucks? How could you not like his portrayal of Colonel Campbell?
Cam Clarke sucks? Really!? Cam Clarke, one of the single most prolific VAs ever? His IMDB page is pretty daunting.
David Hayter's portrayal of Solid Snake is one that will probably never be forgotten. One of the most iconic voices to a game character.

No it's not my money, but seeing the result of Phantom Pain after playing Ground Zeroes and the awesome prologue, I can see that there was so much potential there, but they squandered it on Hollywood voice acting and a Just Cause/Far Cry 2+ knockoff open world that was not needed in a Metal Gear game. As for turning his back on the MGS cast: this one hour interview with all the original actors is a good insight into the whole thing. Towards the end they discuss MGSV and how Kojima basically said fuck you to them because he always wanted Hollywood actors in his games but never had the budget for it. As we can see with this news, that is his #1 priority these days.
