How do I use them on my R4?
Depending on the kernel, you have to enable them first. If you are using Wood R4 then you need to enable them both in the settings and for the games in general. If you are using the default R4 kernel (with time bomb) then stop using that and use YSmenu, default R4 is ugly when it comes to using cheats lol.

Hello everyone, it's that time again to post another update on v2.1. Here lately I've been questioning which games have been missing in the databases without any sort of cheats. I never really thought it was possible to form a list based on what was missing, that is until a good friend of mine went out of his way and whipped up a list himself. He has also helped me with some cheat codes as well so you guys will definitely be in for a surprise with that. So I'm happy to say that I now have a list of games that are missing from the database, I think you guys know where this is going. Not only do I have a list, but I decided to recruit my good friend as a teammate so now him and I can dish out stuff more efficiently and quickly. As a side note, I have begun cleaning/revamping cheats for quite a few games in the database, I hate the fact that one regional version of the game(s) has something that another version doesn't, sharing is caring am I right lol? Anyways, please hold on a little longer guys, I really am trying my best to jam pack this update, I don't want to play around and give a joke out. All I want is you guys to have something viable to use whenever you please.

Take as long as you need! We know that it will be worth It! Better to have a finished delayed product than a rushed buggy one. Thank you!

I decided to do a small change to the version for the next update. I have decided to move to a more normal and more understandable version format so you guys can understand why this next major update isn't a v2.5 but is instead v2.1. As you all know I am currently working on the next update, a very big update I might add, some of you have made some comments regarding the version I chose to use for the next update because usually big updates means a bigger update number (example, v2.0 to v3.0). So I figured why not use a three digit version format instead of the two digit format I use currently. Basically instead of calling this v2.1 I will now call it v2.1.0. You might be asking what the difference is, well there really isn't much of a difference for this specific version, however when it comes to small fix updates and what not, you will understand the differences then. When I first started releasing these updates I used to just increase the integer by one regardless of the update being big, small, or just a simple fix update. Now with this new format I plan to use it will be easier to understand, example, you know the next update will be v2.1.0, 2 being the integer to indicate the massive changes (or the ground breaking stuff really), 1 being the normal major update integer, and 0 being the fix update integer. So say I added a broken cheat in 2.1.0 and wanted to release a fixed database(s), I would call it v2.1.1 instead of v2.2. As for the updates that we currently sit on I will manually add ".0" at the end of them all so if anyone decides to look at the history they won't get thrown off by the sudden change in version formats.

Hello everyone, I have discovered something tonight that kinda bummed me out a tad bit. So as usual I was doing my normal business with the cheat databases, was actually adding some really cool cheat codes that a lot of Pokemon players will enjoy once I get the database out there for everyone. Well the situation is in regards to Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver and their regional variations. HOWEVER this problem can occur with other games in the future. So let me get to it already, as you all know the usrcheat database and of course all the other older databases have served us well over the years, especially since there isn't a set limit on how big the databases can be. However I found out that there is indeed a limit on how many cheat code lists per game can have at once, NOT turned on (obviously the RAM couldn't handle having so many cheats on at once), I am merely meaning just the codes themselves when you go to select the ones you want to use. I figured this out just a few minutes ago when I added my new codes for Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver and ran the games with and without enabling cheat codes, Pokemon HeartGold (SoulSilver has the same amount of codes so SoulSilver included) crashed and unfortunately through process of elimination, it was due to having too many cheat codes in the list for this game. Now there is only one way to fix the issue, and I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hate the fact that I have to say this, but unfortunately I will have to delete, yes DELETE, some codes for Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver. I hate deleting codes because a lot of this stuff took a lot of work to put together, some codes that I didn't make were either lost in internet history or something along the lines, other codes were improved, newly created codes were obviously added. It sucks that there is a limit on how many codes you can have in a list per game, HOWEVER that doesn't mean a huge chunk will have to go. Currently without deleting anything the HGSS cheats are 264KB of raw data (sounds small I know but this is raw data we are talking about here). So from the tests, a 250KB+ cheat code list is to much for any game to run with or without cheats enabled. So I gotta shave it down a little bit, as usual though there is no limit on the database size itself so I can continue to make it grow. I will probably delete some of the codes I made in order to stay under the limit.

By the way if anyone asks me, NO the codes I made did not cause this issue as these cheats work perfectly fine for one, two I made these codes work for other Pokemon games as well and they load in the list and work fine in game. Obviously the game loads too lol.

It is what it is, things like this happen.
That's definitely true, on the bright side I now know when to stop making/adding codes to games lol. So from all of this, flashcarts check the cheat list for any enabled cheats before booting the game, but it isn't able to read more than 250KB+ of data so it says "nope" and the game can't load.
