Nothing to really quote, just view the website. A rather large picture email alerted me of this. Yes, it's the full game, but PC version only. It's normally just $9.99, but at $2.99, it can be bought with that annoyingly small amount you have left on a Via Gift Card after spending most of it, for example.

Because a friend of mine has been wanting DeadSpace for a while.

Very unlikely. Usually any EA game that's not bought on steam will not work with Steam (like 99% the time).
It could though, I have no idea. If I didn't already have it via Steam, I'd try it. At $3, I'd just buy it and use Gamefly's gift option to give it to your friend if you're thinking of buying it for him.

I agree. You will probably be able to use it on Origin though.
