Dead Space 3 Will Launch In February

EA announced at the Gamescom press conference yesterday that Dead Space 3 will launch on February 5, 2013 in North America. The game is also reaching Europe a few day later. ​

EA also announced a Dead Space 3 Limited Edition will be available to preorder .​

February doesn't often have a ton of game releases, which means the game will have less competition to worry about.

That could seriously impact sales, and the last thing the game needs is an icy reception.

I know not a lot of people were pleased with Dead Space 2 but there's still a diehard fanbase from the first game. Looks like the developers are walking on thin ice for this one.

The game looks like a lot of fun, but a lack of scary for sure. So bright and snowy, looks kind of like Lost Planet to me.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be very true to the rest of the Dead Space series. Definitely not the best ice breaker for newcomers.

I wouldn't be surprised if the game got savaged by fans over the co-op features. They could drop the Metacritic user rating to absolute zero.
