Hardware Dead pro controller

Ive got a Pro controller that’s not turning on, connects to a PC via usb but no response from buttons etc, if I press the sync button, it disconnects from USB. No charge light when plugged in but there is voltage on the board from the charger. Stripped it down and there is nothing obvious.
Any common issues?
