("The IT Crowd" reference here) But did you try turn it off and back on again? Switch first, then PC if didn't help. If those still don't help I'd reinstall DBI.

Works now sorta...

I restarted my computer and now I only get USB 2.0 Speeds

I made a system_settings.ini with this

[usb]
usb30_force_enabled = u8!0x1

still only recognizes it as usb 2.0 and yes i have checked the cable

use another port to test.

And how exactly did you check the cable? I've had cables look perfectly fine that previously worked in USB 3.0 mode no longer work in USB 3.0 mode for whatever reason. I also had to RMA an Elgato that no longer worked because it would only connect in USB 2.0 and it requires USB 3.0 to work (presumably a port issue, which is weird because it was left stationary and never touched so there's no way I damaged the port)
Does it still dock? If it can dock, it's probably not the port.

As long as it works not that much need to care USB 2 or 3, the Switch is slow and I would not advise anyone to be staring at the screen willing it to go faster. Go watch a movie or something

Visually inspect the cable's pins and see if it's actually wired for 3.0 speeds. I've come across quite a few usb C cables that only have pins for 2.0 speeds. This isn't my picture, but it demonstrates what I mean.
