Yeah this is a somewhat know issue with Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. When enabled, it prevents many people from connecting online ("A communication error has occurred").
But I never found out exactly what the problem was with the "Data from Friends" option. Is it possible that one of my friend tried to send me some buggy data?
I've had this issue since years now and it continues to happen after switching from a Nintendo 2DS to a New Nintendo 2DS XL and I'm really curious about it (I also want to see what my friends has sent to me since then).
Any clue?
