Hacking DARKCORP v1.0 Release!

I did the regular install, first on cios222 and then cios249, installed wii gator, on 4.1E. genuine smash bros brawl is giving me the black screen and error message to eject disc and turn off, genuine gamecube discs are also giving me errors after they load not in the black screen!

help me out a little please

I've tried the virgin install and reinstalled wigator, it still don't work. Backed up gc and wii games run fine

I downgraded from CIOSX v19 to v17 and it worked with out any problems using the install and update method.

However it left my HBC menu upside down, don't know why this it, but it's upside down, how do I fix this?

He's been real busy with real-life stuff recently, so he doesn't have time to do anything else ATM.

His job was to release / distribute cIOSCORP v3.x and make people think that I'm a mere myth.

But since he didn't have any time to do this, we made a deal to transfer this account to me at 500 posts, and I would take over the release job, so he could finish what he's busy with.

My Rugby League 3 fix has been confirmed as WORKING!

...not that it is a popular game, but now it works.
Not sure if it will help modchip users though...

There will be a DARKCORP update, hopefully soon.

did this, got the link to full, dl'ed it, but didn't find anything with 'rev17 DIP' in it's name ..


in cIOSCORP 3.6 full there were :
- cIOS55-v5149-v3.6.wad
- cIOS55-v5149-v3.6-rev13_DIP.wad
- cIOS55-v5149-v3.6-rev14_DIP.wad


here I see only
- IOS55-64-v5149.wad

does this mean that this IOS55-64-v5149.wad already has rev17_DIP 'integrated' ? could I use it for MP Trilogy from disc backup (patched to IOS55) ?

These wad aren't patched. The installer will patch them.

ahh no that doesn't work for me .. I don't wanna install everything (MPT is in fact my only Wii disc backup, rest is USB), just need something like 'cIOS55-v5149 rev17_DIP.wad' or higher then 17 to install through WAD-manager for use with MPT

can I make such a .wad myself ? how ?


also, if I install it like I want to (maybe not rev17, but rev14, which I have from v 3.6) - will I be able to launch MPT (it's DVD5 version, so rev14 should be ok) from disc channel with just this one .wad or will I still need something like Neogamma ?

Anyway, do you currently have ANY sort of cIOSCORP v3.x or DARKCORP installed?
If not, there will be at least 2 IOS which need modifying.
Which System Menu do you currently have installed?

no, nothing, I had in the past, but used the uninstaller - nothing since then + I have 4.0 .. I need to use whatever is needed to launch MPT backup disc (DVD5 version, though I assume there's no difference if DL is supported and rev17_DIP supports DL) with working menu - game is IOS55, I'm not going to patch it to IOS249 .. I assumed all I needed is ~'cIOS55-v5149 rev1X_DIP.wad' - install it through WAD-manager and voila .. it doesn't have to launch through disc channel, neogamma is fine, however it does need to work w/o errors and with functional menu .. could you tell me what exactly I need to use to achieve that ?

So you're on 4.0, and no CORP.

So you need to install a corp'd IOS55 (for MPT) and a corp'd IOS60 (for 4.0 sysmenu).

Extract the DARKCORP package on the root of your sd, and then open up the config.xml in wordpad.
It's found in sd:\DARKCORP-v1.

Yopu'll see a line for every corp IOS at the start of the xml, in the tag. Just comment out or delete all the lines except for the ones that install IOS55 (0000000100000037) and IOS60 (000000010000003C). Don't get confused about the other sysmenu IOS though.

Then run the installer, and it will only "corp" those 2 IOS, provided they are the only ones you leave in the xml.

And since you have the DVD5 version, only MP1 and MP2 will work.

The PAL version works fine for me...

Which version of the game are you using, and what happens when you try to load it?
Which sysmenu do you have?
What does the Sysmenu or game do when you try to load it?
Do you have Startpatch/preloader?
If so, which hacks do you have enabled, and which do you have disabled?

You have to be VERY specific with your answers, especially a description of how to recreate the error, that way I can try to diagnose and fix it.

1. Yes, providing you don't have a D3-2 drive.
2. Yes, but you'll have to edit the xml some more to only overwrite IOS55 and IOS60. Can't remeber exactly which tag it is off the top of my head though...
3. DARKCORP does not get overwritten by an update, so you only need to uninstall it if you actually want to uninstall it. If you want it to stay after updating, then don't uninstall.

if I only install the first one - disc won't work, right ? or will it brick the Wii ?


and another thing .. in cIOSCORP 3.6 I have cIOS55-v5149-v3.6-rev14_DIP.wad .. and in DARKCORP there's IOS60-64-v6174.wad
as an alternative - is it possible to just install them both via WAD-manager ? would it have the same effect and allow MPT to work ?
