Put this xml file into the DARKCORP-v1 folder on your SD, and let it overwrite the existing one:
config.xml - IOS55 and IOS60 ONLY

And then launch the DARKCORP v1.0 Full Installer.

Hi!

I followed damysteryman explanation and used it on several old Wii and setup had no error this time but…
I can't read burned DVD with it, even if Wii are old enough (not D3-2) or used to read them before updating.

I tried sciifii too (with offline downloader) but it never worked on virgin Wii.
Even when launching Configurable USB Loader after Sciifii v2 install, it only shows start screen and then nothing.

Could you explain me the process to have:
-4.2 Pal Wii
-Waninkoko rev19
-DarkCorp/ciosCorp in order to read burned DVD
-Hermes cios v5 (for FAT32 disk)
-priiloader

What do I install first?
What ciOS setup should I choose for each in order to be able to read burned DVD from Disc Channel (and from Configurable USB Loader).

Please let me know.

So you're on 4.0, and no CORP.

So you need to install a corp'd IOS55 (for MPT) and a corp'd IOS60 (for 4.0 sysmenu).

Extract the DARKCORP package on the root of your sd, and then open up the config.xml in wordpad.
It's found in sd:\DARKCORP-v1.

Yopu'll see a line for every corp IOS at the start of the xml, in the tag. Just comment out or delete all the lines except for the ones that install IOS55 (0000000100000037) and IOS60 (000000010000003C). Don't get confused about the other sysmenu IOS though.

Then run the installer, and it will only "corp" those 2 IOS, provided they are the only ones you leave in the xml.

And since you have the DVD5 version, only MP1 and MP2 will work.

What does the Sysmenu or game do when you try to load it?
Do you have Startpatch/preloader?
If so, which hacks do you have enabled, and which do you have disabled?

You have to be VERY specific with your answers, especially a description of how to recreate the error, that way I can try to diagnose and fix it.

Which version of the game are you using, and what happens when you try to load it?
The version is ntsc, scrubbe. Disk Error error tying to read de game disk

What does the Sysmenu or game do when you try to load it?

Do you have Startpatch/preloader?
startpatch 4.2.6

If so, which hacks do you have enabled, and which do you have disabled?
region free wii disk, move disk channel, region free gc games

That's really strange...

Everything's fine on the software side of things...

When did the error happen?
Did it show the "?" disc in the disc channel, or did it show the banner then blackscreen, or does it randomly screw up during a part of the game?

What brand of disc are you burning to?
Is it Verbatim DVD-R?
Only use Verbatim.

And how old is the Wii's laser?
And how long has it been playing burned discs?

Maybe try the Official Nintendo Wii Lens Cleaning Kit?

my wii is 4.1e installed dark corp,soft mod,my original retail copy of mario kart or my back up copy of mario kart will no longer play using disc channel,they show up in disc chanel but when i click start i get black screen and also my back up copy of guitar hero 5 pal version will show in disc channel but when i click start i get black screen ,my usa version of guiter hero 5 works fine through disc channel ,can any body help as y they no longer work since i have changed from cioscorps 3.6 to dark corp also when will the new up date be out which will work for rugby league 3

It doesn't seem to be DARKCORP related.

It appears that you have recently changed your Wii's video mode from PAL to NTSC.

Load up AnyRegion Changer, and change your Wii's video mode back to PAL (don't change any other settings though!).

Anyways people, it may take a while before DARKCORP v1.1 is out. My RL3 fix scewed up the virgin install method, so that will have to be fixed.

Also, is there anyone who would like to translate the documentation (README & Testing Kit instructions) into other languages?

That way, we could spread DARKCORP to non-English speakers too, and have more people use it.

And I have another question for you guys:
The README has been included in both .txt and .doc format, but I'm thinking about dropping the .txt file.
Do you guys think I should do this?

I don't want to drop .doc in favor of .txt format though...

Or do you guys think i should scrap both and use .pdf format instead?

About .doc, it's better than reading .txt but if you don't have Office (Microsoft or Open) installed you can't read it. Neither can you with pdf.
So it's a difficult choice to make. RTF would work on Windows with Wordpad. .Doc are fine on Ubuntu thanks to Open Office.
If I had to choose I would keep .doc as user would be able to add his own comments to documentation (or translate it).

I would probably go with this order:

0. Bootmii, if not already installed, and make a NAND backup.
1. DARKCORP: Virgin method (this virgin method will delete any corrupted/stubbed cIOS249, and replace with cIOS249 rev17b)
2. Waninkoko's cIOS249 rev19 base 57
3. Hermes' cIOS v5
4. Your Wii is already PAL, right? So, just install a 4.2E (v482) wad.
5. priiloader

That setup should work...
...but if it doesn't, pm me if anything refuses to work, and I'll try to help you get it working.

i'm trying to unistall darkcorps but everytime i try to, it keeps installing and i pick the third option where it says uninstall and it's not uninstall it at all i mean WTF?!? is there a fix for it?
