just remeber how slow the ds started off and look how well its selling now. also nintendo said that there will b big news regarding the wii at the end of september

Great news for d2c owners, .... 30 wires ? .... well, what has to be done, will be done, ... not so hard to install, if that realy works instaling that chip are worth all that hussle.

PS. sorry for engrish

But seriously, a modchip is a essential when you consider that games like Trauma Center and Super Paper Mario takes MONTHS to come out to the UK.

also, the Wii's lineup is full of games like Trauma Center, which are fun for a few hours, but just not worth $60...
No Wii game is worth $50. They're sold for $49.99 maximum.

Unless you're talking about another currency, other than USD.
Well, Trauma Center in the UK is £34.99 which is about $70 USD. This is why I'm really, really careful about what games I would buy. In total, I only have 3 Wii games.

It's going to take time for good Wii software to become available. Remember, developers were just as surprised by the success of the Wii as everyone else. They were expecting things to turn out similarly to what they did with the GameCube, PS2, and X-Box. Who would have thought that the Wii would be the #1 selling console this gen and the mighty PS3 would be a distant third? We'll probably be looking at some choice titles for the Wii come Spring 2008. Mine has been collecting some dust until Mario Galaxy comes out.

The fact that the games are not worth anyone's time is irrelevant. Nintendo is trying to put you in jail for your interest in modchips. Thus you must exert full effort to steal their intellectual property, even if it means investing in their hardware.

wow... some of you people need a cool tall glass of reality. Trying to attribute pirating intellectual property to some kind of guerrilla warfare is ridiculous.

Back on topic, this site popped up today http://d2ckey.com/, maybe we'll see something from it soon.

Good news for D2C users, but hopefully its alot less than 30 wires. Especially if you have to wire them directly to the D2C chip, that would be a pain in the butt.

I had a D2C wii, but luckily my coworker traded me their older wii since they were not interested in modded it. So i got lucky, they had a D2B with the legs not cut, and no pad missing.

I recon the novelty wears off unless you have multiplayer games for the wii ect. I got bored of it and anoyed with shooting games that I have now sold my wii, I have a 360 which I play all the time. I still think the controllers need some fine tuning,

about the D2C I hope some other teams crack it also

and make it a easier installation

wow that looks like a very annoying install.

the only games on Wii that interest me are smash bros, mario and metroid. haven't heard of many good games being announced

I wish nintendo would make a few awesome new games instead of doing Wiifit...what a waste of resources

The installation sure HAS to be difficult. My local chipper upped the chipping price (formerly with Wiikey) from 60€ to 100€
(including the chip in both cases, of course).

I think you need a good tall glass of go fuck yourself. Let it be known that this member is a narc and supports Nintendo's legal actions against modchip users. Trying to "attribute" (I think you mean equate, but you're a fucking idiot) the situation to guerilla warfare is hardly something I suggested. So again, fuck yourself. Keep on paying 50 dollars for cooking simulators.

I guess no one here ever did the first gen DVD PS2 chips, some were 32 wires+. I used to do those for friends, they took about 2-3 hours as just taking a ps2 a part was a chore is itself. This is kids play for people that have done this since the ps1 days.

You'd be surprised, but not all of us have been actively chipping their consoles ever since Day 1.

I tried modding a PS2 one time, way to much work for me, so I never tried doing it again. I think the D2C would be even harder than the PS2 modchips.
