This is a pointless argument. What are you really debating? Superior card or superior software?

See this is my argument...
cheats... who gives a noob f**k?
rt game guide... like you f**king lazy c**ts can't play the game and find instructions for yourself.
slow-mo... go f**king play the game at normal speed. slow minded f**ks.
plays music... use your existing iPod mother f**kers! moonshell is a joke.

All of these which can be fixed by updated software am I wrong?

I'm not a fanboy of anything. But I do own an Acekard2 and CycloDS, tested the R4, M3, TTDS (which I find a piece of shit) ... and I'm trying to find others.

The only thing that matters to me is...
a) Good homebrew/emu support.
b) .nds Compatibility issues and good support.
c) That it will not self destruct.

You people should think about what card fits your purposes and choose from there.

Features? We don't need no stinkin features.

NOTE: FOR THOSE BAD AT DETECTING SARCASM I WAS BEING SARCASTIC I LOVE FEATURES AND JONS2ANN IS A TERRIBLE CONSUMER.

saving... what the hell is this f**k? just don't turn off your ds.
roms... this is a f**k joke. only n00bs download roms. go play demos!
interface... omg you stupid f**ks can't launch a game from command prompt.
storage... f**cking carts should hold 1 demo and that's it.
price... the more f**king expensive the better.
[/sarcasm]

There's a famous phrase which goes:

If you don't need those features, buy an R4 or something and shutup. Moreover, why do you have all those flashcards then?

Cheats -- Quite fun when someone ends a game
RT Game Guide -- Again, quite nice, even if you don't use it for a guide, it's nice to be able to reference things.
Slo-Mo -- Obvious reasons, some combinations in games are ridiculous to try and do at normal speeds. Comboing in Battletoads for instance is basically jamming the buttons in
Plays Music -- Most people don't have the moeny for a 400 dollar iPod. If you had suggested an MP3 player instead of being an Apple faggot fanboy, I might have considered it your SINGLE good point.

None of these can be fixed by UPDATING firmware, because that would mean doing it YOURSELF, and then when it's updated you'd have to do it ALL over again.

You're obviously retarded, but hopefully you can understand at least that.

How famous is that, did you just make it up?
Sounds silly to me, R4 is decent but it's just that decent, and with their being now CHEAPER or cards of the SAME price with many more options, why would you ever bother? SCDS1 is around the price of an R4 and has tons of features.

In my personal opinion the only 2 questions between SCDS1 vs CycloDS is
1)Do you like WASTING extra money? Get a CycloDS, if not, save that extra 40~ bucks for your wallet, AND get more features.
2)Do you like extra features? Get an SCDS1 AND save money, if not get a Cyclods, and just have it look good.

More like 20 bucks.

At least as far as US pricing goes.

There's another famous phrase regarding this.

Seriously, if you think they're both worth getting, then chances are, you'll be happy with either.

Edit: Urza is pissed off. Mission Accomplished.

One thing I've noticed SCDS1 owner talk about is a choice of three different OS's.

Wouldn't it be much better if everything you needed was in ONE OS? Then you wouldn't need to switch.

I can't really see this as a good feature, to be honest.

You don't need to switch.

The other two loaders are unofficial hacks of other loaders, and don't really add anything feature-wise.

M3 REAL... ya im a FANBOY

if only i had found this forum before i bought the m3 i would of gone with the DSONE i think the cyclo is over rated to many fanboy like the m3

So many things have already been said in this thread, not much is left to say. Supercard lovers will say this, Cyclo DS lovers will say that. Yada, yada, yada. Without sounding too corny, I'd like to state the main reason why I chose to go with the Cyclo Evo, and have never looked back.

In my opinion, when you buy a flash cart, like most things in life, you are also buying the company that built it. Before I bought my first Cyclo DS, I had already used or owned several different flash carts. And when I made this purchase, I wanted to do it right! I didn't want to keep switching crappy flash cards every couple of months. I wanted to make sure that I was not only getting the best card (hardware and software), but the best support team behind it. So, I anonymously trolled all the forums: Cyclo, SC, R4, DSX, etc. I wanted to know that the card I got was on the cutting edge, with features that matter. Plus, I wanted to know that if I ever had a problem, they would solve it. If a new feature was needed, it would be in the next firmware update. If I thought a change needed to be made, the support team would be responsive. And everything I saw, heard, and read, led me to believe that the Cyclo DS Evolution was the product, and team, for me.

There are many good cards out there. And truth be told, there are great stories and horror stories regarding every flash card out there. I am sure that whichever card you buy, more than likely, it will do all the things you want it to do. Since buying my first Cyclo DS (about a year ago), I have purchased 2 more for my kids and will be buying 3 more over the next 2 months. They continue making improvements and listening to their customers, which makes me feel good about my decision. When the microsd card stuck out a bit on a batch of their cards, they fixed it. When new features have been needed, they were added. So, as you are making your decision, you should definitely look at all the features (the features that matter, anyway), reliability, and compatibility, etc. But make sure to look carefully at the support/technical team behind the card. That way, you will know that you will be getting a top-notch card that will stay a top-notch card well into the future.

Cheats... This is a sad gaming generation. There's a small percentage of humans that can actually be stuffed fully completing a game before considering using cheats. I doubt you fit into that category. Every single card probably has cheat functions, so I guess I'm doomed with the fact that no matter what I buy, I will have that feature.
RT Game Guide... It's for the noobs who give up at certain scenarios in games. To preserve the longevity in games, please sit there for a couple of hours, stress your brain out, succeed and then say you have completed the game fully.
Slow-Mo... I don't even use that on my card because I like my games at normal speed as they were intended to be. If you can't play games like Daigasso Band Brothers because some songs are too fast for you, maybe you shouldn't even play games you f**king failure of life.
Music... I don't own an iPod - wanker! It was a popular example to get you to realise I was talking about music players. The fact that you couldn't pick that up makes you the retard you "Supercard faggot fanboy!"

Wow I still thought my thread was dead... and there's still all this bickering.

To jons2ann, do you realise you're not contributing ANYTHING to this thread? To be honest, cheats are fun to use when you're bored. In game guide is helpful. I prefer not to waste my whole life away trying to find something (eg. finding an item in Zelda). Also, to say that you own loads of DS original games means you have loads of money. Ever realised that we Australians are paying far too much? Obviously Aussies are using flash carts to save money since we're paying double or more than double than Americans. Go swim in $2 coins you rich bastard and buy yourself an iPod or a hundred.

Anyway, on topic, does anybody know if RHS ships overseas? I remember seeing something earlier about RHS not shipping overseas 'cos of some mistrust of UPS or something...

Oh way to go to regulate the bickering on a thread of a site that doesn't belong to you. Wanker. If you haven't got your answer yet (which I have assumed you did seeing that you thought your thread was dead) then maybe I am not contributing to YOUR needs. Then again, I am not replying to the first post but the several dozen after.

Cheats, game guides, walkthroughs....
How can you achieve your own sense of personal accomplishment when you're just using other peoples talents and hard work to mimick your own?
What's the point of playing games that offer a challenge to people if people aren't willing to take up the challenge?

I'm not even sure if the term rich bastard is supposed to be a compliment or an insult. You don't like rich people or do you just envy them? Either way, it's a pathetic comment to make seeing that I'm not even rich. I don't own a car. I don't own a house. I have a HECS bill of $20,000+. I am a web programmer for my own uni. 3D game programming is a hobby which is why I like to make my own contributions to the video game industry. Playing video games are a hobby.

I'm sorry that working at KFC is making it hard for you to buy original games. After all, you only need to work for 3-4 hours to earn yourself one game.
Or you can not work, go to Centrelink, get a new start allowance, get one fortnightly payment and have yourself 4 games with 200 bucks to spare!
Gee, apparently it's really hard to make money nowadays when the real problem is people becoming lazy fucks. It's contagious.

What about homebrew?

What about testing games before buying?

What about convenience of not carrying 6-7 games with me when Im traveling and shuffling them like a card player or sth when I can have all on one cart?

Walkthroughs? Why not? It is a perfect solution when someone wanna save time. Go ban gamefaqs.

big lol

ON TOPIC: I own scdsone sdhc and dont want to get any other solution. Heck, I will even buy another one when this one stop working. Why? Cuz I like it.

Good jorb completely missing the point.

You're a bad consumer in that you dismiss products that have more features, saying you don't "need" them, and instead settle for lesser products simply on that basis. It has nothing to do with that tangent on "o wow i r so kuul i pae 4 ma videa gaemz !" that you seem to have redirected this thread to.

People have different senses of "accomplishment", and who are you to judge what people like to do for a hobby? Maybe they're in it for the story, or just like shooting things without worrying about that stray bullet which takes them out. I can think of many other things which I would consider more boring with a lesser "sense of accomplishment", that people regularly consider hobbies.

I won't speak for everyone, but for me its less a matter of not being able to buy games, and more a matter of "why pay money for something I can get for free?" For example, lets say after bills and whatnot, and putting a bit into savings, I've decided I want to spend a grand on extra stuff. I could either A) Buy 25 DS games (or 17 console games) or B) Buy a 50" LCD TV and download the games for free. Lucky me, having no morals, so I always end up better off by choosing option B.

The point being, some of us just don't like to waste money for something we can get for free.

I think they stopped because too many people were getting lost packages and complaining and generally getting annoyed.
