Hacking cyclods skins

i finally decided i wanted to change my skin for my cyclods and i download a few of them today.for some reason i can't get my skin to change.

1) Is each individual theme in it's own folder within the CycloDS/skins/ folder.
2) Did you UnZip the themes? The Cyclo can't read them Zipped up.

If yes to both then you should be able to change them by hitting the Settings button.

everything you told me to do i already did and i am still not able to change my background.do i need to download something else to make my background able to change, all my skins i downloaded came from the cycods section in gbatemp.one of the skins i downloaded is gambit from the xmen if you have a cyclods try to download this and tell me if you can get it to work.

Are the individual skin folders in (Cyclo/skin)? I just got my Cyclo, but that's what I've read.

The CycloDS Evolution GUI is fully skinnable, and skins are easy enough to make so that anyone
can do it! To use one or more skins, simply transfer the required skinning files to the folder
\CycloDS\skins on your MicroSD card and then select the desired skin from the settings menu.
Please note that each skin should have its own folder within the \CycloDS\skins folder – so for
example if your want to use a skin called “Mario”, create a directory called “\CycloDS\skins\Mario”
on your MicroSD card and then copy the skinning files into this directory. Skinning files consist of
several .BMP files and a single .XML file – this means that you need to extract these files first, do
not just copy the .ZIP/.RAR file onto the MicroSD card! So for example, for the Mario skin you
might have a file structure similar to this:
\CycloDS\skins\Mario\skin.xml
\CycloDS\skins\Mario\top.bmp
\CycloDS\skins\Mario\bottom.bmp
\CycloDS\skins\Mario\scrollbar.bmp
\CycloDS\skins\Mario\cheat-icons.bmp
\CycloDS\skins\Mario\menu-icons.bmp

So a slight update to my above post as I'd omitted the "skins" folder info. Does that make better sense? Better yet, does that finally fix the problem?

What is hard about making them? : o

Also, anyone know how to like edit/make the like.. higlighting of what game you have selected etc? i guess it is in the skin file, but im not sure what to edit, and how to edit it : ( (guess this is the hard part? since just changing the pictures is incredibly easy, i mean just make w/e you want in paint, or whatever you want, then save it as. bottom or top or w/e =p

It has a tool that edit the xml file that contains all the colour data.
