In a twist of events, Cyberpunk is now starting to rise from the ashes of it's release. The reviews on Steam have finally risen to Very Positive, helped by a recent price cut from 60$ to 30$. This boost of sales has made it the one of the best selling items on Steam. The game director, Paweł Sasko, decided to tweet about it, shown below.

the game itself isn't actually bad, it just was cursed from being overhyped and buggy at launch.
It is a fraction of the game they promised and showed footage of. That footage shows story and features that not only were pulled out of the game to get it out of beta, but they won't ever be added back in either. The game is a fiasco at any price and it will always be a notorious release that the has permanently damaged the reputation of the dev. And deservedly so. That hot mess should never, ever have been released in that state, especially on PS4/XB1. I mean it was so bad Sony took measures into their own hands and delisted it without asking CDPR!

I really want to try cyberpunk at some point, the only issue is that my PC isn't anywhere near powerful enough to run it lol. I understand the criticism it got due to it's bugs at launch but the setting and story is so interesting to me.

Meh. Don't really care to play it until they take out the bugs, if it's still a good game by then i'll buy it, if not then CJPR doesn't deserve my money

@Sicklyboy I happened to have ubisoft app already installed, so I just logged in and got the game and played with @Skv0ra

But it could drink and smoke in the homeland of Ubisoft, that counts.

Shouldn't be, because these anti cheat suites pretty much all natively support linux if I'm not mistaken, and it's down to a literal checkbox that they're not ticking.
  • Plazorn @ Plazorn:
Would you really install a kernel level anticheat program if it existed though? I sure wouldn't.
