Alright, so I'm new to the world of 3DS hacking. I bought my friend's old 3DS and downgraded it to 4.2 using Gateway's software and the browser-method (I don't own an actual GW3DS card), and I'm trying to get emunand up and running. I do have a backup of the SysNAND, so I'm good there.

The thing is, emunand currently doesn't support firmware 9.6, which is what's downloaded through the System Update service. Henceforth, I get a black screen when I try to boot into classic mode after updating. Is it possible to download some sort of file that will allow me to install firmware 9.5 instead?

And if not, how can I restore the SysNAND for now to be back on FW 8.1? (Or would it even be worth it)

Thanks!

You can update to 9.5 by using 3DNUS to download the update CIAs and apply them to a recreated EmuNAND through a CIA installer.
