PS1/2 Current PS3 slim models problem free?

Hi, I plan to pick up a PS3 slim pretty soon but I've heard that they had some heating problems, was that only a problem on the launch consoles? And is there anything else I need to know (problem wise)?

i think it's only with the launch ones, and i think it's too early to tell if the Slim has YLOD, hope that helps!

I didn't think there was anything wrong with any of them- I can't believe they had heating problems.

I have a slim. I've had it for about 2 months. its really good i guess. its slightly slower than my old 60gb. there are no problems with it so far. heating problems depend on usage and resting periods. generally I play about 3-4 hours at a time, then turn it off and pull the plug on it and leave it off for the night(about 10-12 hours) come back on and its pretty cold to be honest maybe because my house is cold all the time lol

I recommend you get the slim, but be careful on how much time you spend on the ps3 at once
