Hey guys sorry for the stupid brick thread i made. I apologise it was immature. I will be getting a new 3ds either on september october and i still have the 11.0 emunand with many saves and games. Is it possible to restore the backup on another console? I am curious.

Yeah, provided you have a xorpad of your NAND. Doesn't restore the FULL nand, don't do that. But it may revive saves.

Only with a hardmod and system transfer (The system you get later this year will likely be on 11.0, so hardmod for downgrading it... Like

sadly i do not have nand fat16 xorpads

In all seriousness, the emuNAND/redNAND are just a clone of the sysNAND, so it's tethered to the system that created it. They only way to bring it from one system another is a very complicated transfer process.

TLDR it does it and bricks, so something like OTP Helper modifies the Nand so it isn't bricked

Looking through OTPHelper's source, it looks like it generates an o3DS nand header from your new 3DS version, and modifies some things in CTR nand to match o3DS versions. Really simple in idea.

This setup first checks to see if the console is a New 3DS, and if it finds one it applies some unbricking steps (swapping a NAND header and fixing encryption types) to allow the New 3DS to run an Old 3DS only firmware (since New 3DS shipped with the firmware 8.1.0).

IIRC, old OTP helper specified what processes it did to unbrick a EmuNAND

I think it was the CTR nand version or something

It changed it to 0x5 to 0x4(I don't remember it correctly, it has been a long time since OTP helper removed the feature that specified what it did)

Because the New 3DS has nice 3D better browser faster cpu can record video on pc via that ntr thing can play xenoblade 3d and has a c stick which lets me play mh4 mhg and other games of that nature easier

So the console you already have is not a new3ds...Well why not buy a new 3ds, hack it, system transfer from the console you have to it, then sell the old one to get some money back...

The problem is that on my current old 3ds there are no games anymore. I accidentally updated sysnand to 11.0.0

Just hardmod it! If your bricked 3ds isn't an old 3ds non xl, go to @vb_encryption_vb, he hardmodded mine and answered every question I had! He also had fast shipping! If your 3ds is an old 3ds non xl, go to @hundshamer.
