Hi All,

I'm thinking about updating my A9LH + luma to the 11.1 firmware recently released.

However instructions say to "Make sure you have a CTRNAND backup on 11.0 before updating a9lh"

How do I back up CTRNAND? I know how to do the SYSNAND with Decrypt but not the CTRNAND ?

Cheers
James

You probably read it here. I had the same setup and simply updated without doing any additional backups that i will never go back to anyway. Basically everything is still working fine (games, programs, installing cia files), only NTR (if you are even using that) needs some workaround now on 11.1. You can also update luma if you have the luma updater to the highest version before or afterwards.

Yep I read it from there.

Does the homebrew launcher still working from the home menu after the update?

Good to know it's working for you :)

What's NTR used for anyways?

homebrew launcher does work on 11.1, you just need a new payload file

NTR is used for game plugins.

Thanks for that info!

Sorry for a N00b question, but is it hard to get a new payload file? How do I go about getting one?

Do I need to download that specific binary code thing? Or is it just reinstalling another homebrew CIA?

Just run the homebrew launcher cia on the new firmware and it will download a new payload for you and then it will launch the homebrew menu
