So I just finished my "System Dashboard". It's a small loader stub that replaces the system menu's loader, and by default (when its executed) it will just happily load the default system menu. You couldnt even tell it was there. But if you're Holding 'X' on the GC pad (or reset if you dont have a GC pad) it will bring up the Dashboard, which allows you to continue booting the system menu, boot into any title in NAND (even other system menu's you've installed if you modified patchmii to download and install them in places other than 00000002), boot a dol from the front sd slot, or run a DOL from a DVD (standard filesystem). Its pretty sweet, think of it as a glorified Rescue Menu, a BootMii, whatever. I doubt that im gunna release it, because BootMii "hooks" in sooner than my Dashboard (bootmii hooks in boot2, whereas mine hooks after boot2 and just before the system menu), and the fact that any nintendo update will overwrite my dashboard. But its still useful nonetheless.
I might even change it up so that dashboard loads the default system menu with prelude patches, and make prelude more of a "loader" than a permanent NAND patch. eh, I've got a few weeks to think about it.
The full cSM release though is a complete replacement, and can't utilize a "loader" solution. Many changes for that must be permanent in NAND.
But that's not saying it wont utilize a system dashboard anyways...it would be nice to be able to pick between an official system menu and cSM.
