Developers of the excellent Far Cry 1 and the three Crysis games have already started development on at least one WiiU title.

I actually really hope that Crytek UK are doing it, if you don't already know the UK studio used to be called Free Radical Design...they did Timesplitters and Second Sight...oh and Haze...but we tend to ignore Haze for good reason. They were also in Rare back when Rare made great games. Reason I'd wanted to see them doing something is because they did something that we don't see in the FPS genre that much and that is style.

Please do Timesplitters 4.

I literally just read this elsewhere as you posted this.

I couldn't give a shit about Crysis but definitely Timesplitters. Hopefully having the engine on more platforms will open up possibilities for TS4.

New exclusive IP actually, I hated Time Splitters 2 and 3 so much and unless they are actually going to put action in the 4th one, I would rather see a new game that is an exclusive IP designed for the console and all it has to offer.

If anything, something running the Crysis 2 engine but still has all the environmental beauty that we have come to enjoy in the Crysis series while being a completely new game would be nice.

They better do something that doesn't suck.

I'm gonna hate to see a Nintendo system filled with generic war shooters.

Better to have a good game like Crysis with some kick ass online then Call of Duty which is mediocre in every aspect.

Even if it is Crytek UK, as Crytek they haven't made anything that doesn't suck. All their games are like Doom 3, paid for tech demos.

It doesn't even seem like the WiiU can handle the Crysis engine.

This is the only reason why I'm not too happy about 3rd party developers doing games for the U. The last thing I need is another console filled with mindless shooters and action games my 5 yr old brother can beat.

What, and you'd rather have it be yet another 1st party only system as shallow as the Wii?

The wii had a lot of 3rd party goodness. It also had a level of shovelware only surpassed by the PS2. But really apart from the odd couple of Capcom exclusives and co-productions that that isn't a Ninty 1st party game, what do you expect to be worthwhile playing on a Ninty console that wouldn't always be better on the PC or more conventional consoles?

This is good news. They just need to make the gameplay worthwhile. I always though the games looked great, but I couldn't complete any of them...
