what exactly is this, i have googled on it and on gbatemp, i find nothing much related to 'cryptofix'
(basically need this to get a game running in my emuNAND as it gets stuck in the 3ds boot logo).

i would like to know because supposedly some "Cias" that i get dont work unless i "cryptofix" them?

( i believe cryptofix is needed for Legit Eshop dumps?! ) and that entering Eshop while i am in emuNAND will fix the game? even if it does, i cannot enter eshop as i get errors since i have unlinked nands i guess i messed it up,

so i ask what that cryptofixing is.. if there is a guide etc. please link me to it , thanks in advance :)

Long story short, certain games require certain system version due to encryption that only allows the game to play on certain system versions.

A cryptofixed game has had this encryption removed so that the game can work on lower firmware. As @SomeGamer said above, cryptofixing is only necessary if your emunand is still at 9.5 if using rxtools on N3ds. Otherwise it is not needed.

So this would mean cryptofixed Ironfall would work on <9.4? I'm probably stating the impossible, but only being theoretical.

seeddb is per-game encryption, so I think crypto fixing is still necessary if you're using an out-of-region 9.6+ title? or am I wrong here? I know visiting the eshop page of a game can get the seed for it, but you can't do that for out-of-region titles.

You are correct with that, a Cryptofix is still required for out of region 9.6+ games

Did you get a message in d9 saying the fix was successfull? & is the seed for the game included in the latest one?

oh bro , i have d9 but what do i do with it? i know there is a lot of decrypt options in the app but what do i do with it to fix? the game
I'll have to post a tut for doing it, on the way to work now so I haven't got access to my pc or 3ds, basically make your cia & place that with the latest seed.db file from the usual place in the d9game folder, run decrypt9 by your usual method, choose game decryptor options then cia decryptor (deep). What game are you trying to cryptofix just out of interest?

You can fix your eShop/NNID, you just have to make a new emuNAND (on a separate SD card, or back up your existing emuNAND first) and link your NNID on it, then change back to the previous emuNAND and it should work.

I just have a quick question about cryptofixing; if I install a cryptofixed game on my 10.5 emuNAND, then go to the eshop, will this game be different from a "clean" .cia?
