As for me, yeah, I did since late 80s and I love their Broccoli Cheddar Chicken, also big breakfast.

I have eaten there. Never thought it was special. I prefer Bob Evans and I don't really even like eating there.

As for the current "controversy" about Cracker Barrel remaking their business and marketing .... that's their business and they can market it to the public any way they like. If it costs them some old customers, but gains them new ones, good for them. If they get burnt by it, that's also ok. I really couldn't care less and I sure don't get anyone protesting it. Just don't eat there if you don't like it.

I ate at Bob Evans when I was in Illinois and great breakfast, IMO.

Their rebranding is just following the recent trend of going from unique stylized elaborate visually distinctive trademarks and logos, to dull samey srs bsnss boilerplate that differs only in how far the "designer" scrolled down the fonts menu before giving up.

I've stopped there once or twice visiting to an fro my home state of Tennessee.

I basically had the Chicken Fried Steak n Mashed Potatoes w/gravy, mmmm hit the spot.

I agree with your sentiments regarding late capitalism but I like the new cracker barrel logo, it seems kind of old-timey compared to the others
