I'm trying to convert a bfstm file to wav, but having issues with the volume.

I am able to load the file with XMPlay (using the in__vgmstream plugin) and redirect the output to "WAV writer" to create a wav.
The resulting file is of length 2:46 which is the looped audio, however the resulting audio file is noticeably too loud. If I load the resulting
file in a sound editor I can see the recorded audio is topping out, so that sound info is being lost. The equalizer is disabled in XMPlay.

I also tried exporting with Switch Toolbox, which provides me with a proper volume. However it only exports a file of length 1:20, which is the unlooped audio.

I'd like the file to be looped like XMPlay, but with the proper audio level used by Switch Toolbox. Is there a setting I need to use, or a different conversion tool?
