I kind of agree. I might share the joy sometimes, but going miss the having a regular D-pad by default.

Only if the Joy-Cons are improved with a proper analogue stick and a real d-pad but I don't see either happening, it looks like Nintendo settled down with what they've shown already. Not much luck finding a deal on a Switch Pro Controller right now but it's still early.Tell me again when Nintendo Switch is in your hand and see if your opinion remain the same or change your mind again.
That honestly doesn't even qualify as a "d-pad" it's just a bunch of buttons.I agree with you. I admit that I miss a regular D-pad myself too. However, I am willing to move on, thought.
My God, yes! Joy-Cons by Hori? Oh, yes please!I suspect that companies like Madcatz, POP, Afterglow and Hori will eventually release custom Joycons to address and capitalizeon concerns over the default controller, but yes - it seems bad. That being said, our hands-on testers enjoyed them, so I guess the Joycon pair can't be abysmal to use.
As long as the Switch is a moderate success, meaning sells better than the Wii U and there's a market for such add-ons, they will definitely make some - you want to give them money and they want to take it, so it's a match made in heaven. My God, yes! Joy-Cons by Hori? Oh, yes please!
Well they would have to create Joy-Cons with an NFC chip and recreate HD rumble. I imagine this may be very hard to accomplish.I suspect that companies like Madcatz, POP, Afterglow and Hori will eventually release custom Joycons to address and capitalizeon concerns over the default controller, but yes - it seems bad. Good point.Well they would have to create Joy-Cons with an NFC chip and recreate HD rumble. I imagine this may be very hard to accomplish.
They most certainly wouldn't - custom controllers have no obligation to implement the full spec. Custom PS4 controllers don't use SIXAXIS and custom XBO ones are all wired as far as I know.Well they would have to create Joy-Cons with an NFC chip and recreate HD rumble. They would if they want to create competitive replacement controllers. In any case, GBAtemp's server is killing me right now. They most certainly wouldn't - custom controllers have no obligation to implement the full spec. They could be competitive by just providing more comfort - most games won't use gimmicky features. Also, yes. They would if they want to create competitive replacement controllers. In any case, GBAtemp's server is killing me right now.
Nah, if I need to get another controller just to scan amiibo, then the replacement controller isn't doing a good enough job as a replacement. They could be competitive by just providing more comfort - most games won't use gimmicky features. Also, yes.
Like he said, gimmicky featuresNah, if I need to get another controller just to scan amiibo, then the replacement controller isn't doing a good enough job as a replacement.
The Pro Controller is just a traditional controller and no, it doesn't have analogue triggers. It's digital triggers. That was my first thought as well.
People pick up consoles over PC for accessibility.(controllers, moving easily around etc)
but both the joycon and the pro controller doesnt look very "pro gaming".
It looks like it doesnt have analogue triggers?
Thats stupid. Racing games and a lot of FPS feels shit without analogue triggers. The Pro Controller is just a traditional controller and no, it doesn't have analogue triggers. It's digital triggers.
