the original game smea used was the us version of kirby squeak squad so if you own this game you can already use haxchi, also massive thanks to @VinsCool by the way for providing me with some helpful debugging info since I dont own a us wiiu or that game, while you probably didnt know what any of the commands do I said you to enter it helped out a lot

Ah, don't get me wrong, I wasn't trying to imply anything bad lol. I didn't know half of what the OP meant or rather, making sense out of those commands since this isn't for the end user. I guess what I'm trying to figure out is what this will mean in the long run, and what, if any, CFW can be installed with or without RedNAND. I'm still on the fence about RedNAND due to the brick risk, maybe emulators can be installed to NAND one day. Keep up the good work, man Hopefully there'll be a tut someday

Also pushed it up to a fork on github so you can see what all had to be changed.

It went to brain age because FIX did not have Kirby installed considering it's actually possible to port haxchi, maybe more NDS games will support it someday.

I would recommend to just wait, considering that you already have a game installed, it will come, for sure. It's not very user friendly, as of now anyway

for what it's worth, the banner, icon and associated text can also be modified, if you want to make it look ever so slightly nicer

The vuln was found on DS VC, so no. Whatever, Brain Age is pretty cheap so I'm fine with that if I want to coldboot into my rednand.

Further elaborating on this, while contenthax could work on virtually all apps, "the Nintendo DS virtual console app was selected for this exploit [haxchi] because it has the ability to dynamically emit executable code. as a nice bonus, hachihachi includes symbols for its code."

Essentially this is comparable to menuhax on 3ds. It doesn't start early enough in boot to give us sysnand brick protection, but it does give us the ability to do something like boot CFW redNAND.
