Connecting 3ds to acess point with no internet

Hi yall
I have an old century link router I have been using as an acess point for various other tasks. I want to connect my 3ds to it but it has no internet connection so everytime I try to connect it to the acess point it gives me that error. Is there anyway i can possibly bypass this connection test or set the settings to something different? The anwser may be odvious but i would like to know. If there is a way to connetc to an acess point with no internet please let me know.

just buy a new router then (make sure it has 2.4G, 802.11b, 802.11g wireless modes, and WEP, WPA-PSK (TKIP), WPA-PSK (AES), WPA2-PSK (AES) security. WPA2-PSK (TKIP) may or may not be supported by your model)
