But how do I connect it ? I always get an error or something like that.
Make sure the 3ds and android are on the same wifi network.

Start an ftp server on 3ds. It will show an ip address and Port number like: 192.168.0.4 / 5000

Start an ftp client on android. Start a new connection.
Enter the ip and port from above. Username and password are blank, unless you are told otherwise.

It really should be that simple. If you explain what you do and what errors you get… we can help you more. Be descriptive

Don't you think if I new the answer I would have never said anything? I'm checking the thread and all I see is a few posts relating to using a laptop I couldn't find the answer, also your smart comment doesn't help

People are not obligated to help you here, and the 3rd post mentions using es file explorer on Android and ftdp on 3ds, which is also my setup.

So instead of you just saying that your choosing not to because? I would suggest you get off your mom's cord and grow up

I'm not sure how to transfer files from my android to 3ds without the computer involved

Ok I just hacked my n3ds xl. Here I want to share the easy way to transfer files between 3ds and Android phone or tablet.
First you need to download FX file explore (7 days free trial). I recommend buy it, only $2 bucks, awesome file manager! On your 3ds set up your microsd management first. You can use any name, but I just use "3DS" for short and make sense. Next, on your Android phone/tablet open fx file explore then hit network icon then + sign then choose window host (smb).
Now you on set up page, you need to enter this "smb://3DS/microSD" on the first line where it said ip address. Next 2 optional line just leave it blank then enter your user name and choose option for password then save it. Its done. Easy and simple

Ok so I have es explorer. Could you give instructions ince ive been screwing around for a while and nothing

- Launch the 3DS FTP app
- Launch ES file exporer on phone
- Click on 'Network' tab on the left,
- Select 'FTP'
- Select 'New'
- Enter details as found on the 3DS FTP app (IP address and port #)
- Press enter

Your 3DS SD card root should now pop up as a window in ES File Exporer.

I tried it but it didnt work but really thanks for trying and funny enought ai found it working using ftp turbo and ftpcafe

As you can see, if you using the sd manager from settings, you need to setup a LAN, not FTP. So unless you use the FTP homebrews like FTP turbo, you need to use lan.

Just go to the sd management, and follow the instructions, then go to es file explorer, click network tab and lan, then new and fill in the information on 3ds.
