I've heard that rumor before, and I don't think so.. that's not how Valve works..

New DLC, maybe some exclusive content for the 360.. that could happen, but looking how they've been handling Team Fortress 2 and the Half Life 2 episodes, we won't get a real sequel so soon..

Well, yes unbelievable, and it could be DLC. Seems they're pretty convinced though, I'll be watching the MS conference anyway, so we'll see I guess

AAAAAAH, I missed the trailer thanks to IGN's shitty trailer. Guess I'll watch the conference in its entirety at some later point. I can't believe I got the start, which was shit games (The Beatles and Tony Hawk) and then missed MW2 and L4D2

. Now Forza

I wonder what they could improve though seeming as though L4D2 has been confirmed now. Maybe more weapons, different levels i guess. I never really enjoyed L4D, since i never play on Live, plus my internet connection is no way fit for online play

I hope single play is much more enjoyably this time round.

Yeah single player was sort of boring after a bit, it was a truly great co-op game though.

IGN already have a preview up:

Can't say I'm really excited by this game, it doesn't sound very different, and may as well be a DLC addition to the original. It's like paying twice for one game :\.
I dearly, dearly hope Valve show something of Ep.3 or Portal 2, and this isn't their big thing.

HOLY SHIT! I can't wait to get home and look at the trailer. I can't believe it's happening! Didn't L4D come out last year? It seems like such a short time when the first one is doing so well... And it's also gonna be released November of this year? Sounds too soon and too good to be true.

Also, Crackdown 2. NeoGAF is going to explode.

FUCK! It's real.. but I still says it's not something valve usually does.. that's EA talking right there..

That was the Valve fanboy inside me speaking >_>

Anyway.. I was reading the IGN preview, and has some interesting ideas.. but I don't see why this deserves to be a new game.. new weapons and maps could just be added like it's being done with Team Fortress 2.. in fact.. the maps will probably be remade for L4D by the community..

Oh heck, I will probably buy it again anyway.. damn you Valve!

I am pissed. As all hell. I mean come on. This isn't like Valve. They will normally expand upon a game like crazy before making a new one. But in Left 4 Dead's case they're just throwing away the "future support" for L4D for this.

I only justified Left 4 Dead being $60 because of the promised support in the future, alla the Team Fortress 2 updates. Throwing it away for a sequel not even a year later. This should be DLC or an expansion pack not an entirely new game.

It was cool to see Paul and Ringo. My dad was laughing hard when they had an Asian singer chick for the demo, obviously for Yoko.

L4D2 looks awesome!! I'm hoping for a story line. AW2 looks good, similar to AW1, but I like the condensed HUD on the gun (lol, camcorder gun!)

No wonder how they were able to come up with L4D2 after only a year of the first game's release. New maps, new weapons, new characters... yeah, sure. All what I've saw in the trailers is "new skins". New skins for the maps, new skins for the zombies, new skins for the guns, new skins for the survivors. How are they justifying the full retail price one is expected to pay for this? Maybe it's something I'm missing, but it looks like the first one, with new skins.

Melee weapons. Thats the big difference. Other then that your right. This may kill Valve's reputation. I think it will be too much of the same and Valve will lose their title of "the developer that never made a bad game."

I thought we'd have at least a hint of Half Life 3 before another L4D game.

There better be more to this game to warrant it a retail release.
