i have a wd elements 2.5tb and with 68d works fine but if I upgrade to version 69 the hard disk does not load. I guess it's a defect of the loader or not?

Sorry for my english.
Right, as davebaol suggested, please try the 69a* 69b* versions that you can find here:
http://code.google.com/p/cfg-loader/downloads/list
start with 69a and go up and let me know which version breaks it.

cfg69a5.dol the load properly from this stays on the loading screen.
So, you're saying:
cfg69a4 : OK
cfg69a5 : OK
cfg69a6 : ERROR
cfg69a7 : ERROR
right?

Please try this:
http://cfg-loader.googlecode.com/files/cfg69t1.dol
and let me know if it works or not.

the same error with all 70 versions. Sorry for my english.

P.D. 69 versions works

I don't believe it's a 4k sector size issue. I just tested WBFS on 70t5 and it works fine with a 3tb seagate.

Perhaps if you switch to cIOS d2x v6 it may work for you?

Ok, we've got more work to do with 4k sector size then.
You have only 1 partition which is WBFS right?
Does the loader crash?
Can you make a screenshot of the crash and post it here?

2 partition, 1 wfbs primary.
Loader dont crash... he stay in cfg intro screen and dont show games.

At what point do you get the error? loading CFG or loading the game?

And how many games have you installed?

WBFS is a dead obsolete filesystem and the games will take up MUCH more space on it.

Would it take much effort to upgrade it to fat32? or NTFS?

Is there a certain format/size restriction on the music that plays in the background? Or can it be any file as long as it's named Tetris?

I just throw mp3s in the music folder and they play in a random order. Don't even rename them

Just to get back on the corrupting games
I still have 90 of the 260 left...

ChkDsk found some problems in crosslinked .wbfs files.
Affected games did'nt load after repair, though...

Wii backup manager found invalid items everytime i'd put my drive in....
Removed them and restarting Wii backup manager finds another bunch of invalid games.
I repeted the prossesc for about 5 times, untill I had 90 games left without errors.

I remember deleting a game with Wiibackup mager earlier yesterday.
Could this be related?
Somehow my .wbfs files /folder got messed up.

Trying to find the reason of of this awefull bug...

It's very hard to tell, you probably use various homebrew, each with a different libfat version.
Also different cfg versions have different libfat versions, as they change through time...
I guess the corruption might have started a long time ago but it was unnoticed, i don't know.
Probably a good practice is to occasionally run disk check under windows just to be sure all is ok.

@Oggzee

tested on a fat32 500gb external drive with the required folders on it.

v70b not working
v70b2 not working
v70b3 not working
v70b4 not working
v70b5 not working

all were searching for a inserted sd card and gave me the error could not find config.txt and ios 222 if i selected ios 249 and pushed 2 on my remote it worked

v70t8 working

this one worked directly (WHY?)

i discovered i had the hermes 222 and 223 versions that were altered by Rodries i believe and when i reverted back it all worked again.

Hmm, apparently rodries 222 cios doesn't work with CFG, actually someone else reported this as well yesterday.
What is the difference between hermes and rodries cios 222?

Even after running dskchk and it saying thatthere were NO problems wiiback up manager presented me with 170 invalid items...
I think it has something to do with how the.wbfs files are being split...
Somewhere it goes wrong.

Right now I'm thinking Wiibackupmanager might be the problem.

Use 249[56]d2x6 and 250[57]d2x6 only for all games. No need for Hermes anymore.
