A quick question: CFG says that cIOS245 is not installed. What base should I use if I want to create it? I am using the default bases for all the other cIOS'es. (From the mod any wii guide)

Is there a need to install cIOSX d2x and which slot an dbase is the best ?

D2X is a vast improvement over older cIOSes.
See the changelog in the D2X topic for an overview.

With this cIOSX and the newest CFG (69b3) or Neogamma you can play almost any game (1 not working reported) without the issues the older cIOSX versions have, no messing around with alt.dols or other settings to make a game work.

Also emunand support and HDD detection is improved..

I prolly missed a few pro's but i think it is safe to say there is indeed a need to install cIOSX d2x.

And if you install it, install it in slot 249, base 56, slot 249 is the most commonly used slot and base 56 supports the most games.
Also install d2x into another slot with base 57 if you have games that need to be run with base 57.

Is anyone maintaining a list of games that need either base 56 or 57?

base 56 will play the majority of games (plays every game I have except for Black Ops). Base 57 is used to play CoD:Black Ops

If you google it you should be able to find a list on another site.

People who have a lot of games on USB can also see the IOS 57 games in the latest Wii Backup Manager.

Just a tip if somebody wants to know which of his/her games need base 57..

Tetris is cool

, maybe more people will now remember they can customise the music with this as a reminder that the loader can play music. You can have a few and decide the order they play, I have mine random. However my duaghter has some crap that plays, over and over. We have a seperate install so we each have a choice of music, backgrounds and a lot more

A note to "old" We dare issue... I tested We dare + wiiscrubber and don´t work, game pass loading screen but freeze on next screen, but We dare original .iso works perfect.

COD: BO requires 57 but we play DJ Hero 2 and Just Dance 2 on 56 fine. Don't know about the others.

I just updated to CFG v69 and d2x 249 with base 56 and I've found a problem with Ocarina. When I look at the settings for a game with Ocarina turned on, it says "no hook types" until I change any setting at which point it remembers what hook type had previously been set. If I exit the game settings and return to them it goes back to "no hook types". When I launch the game, CFG finds the .gct but the cheat (Brawl- 2.1.1 NTSC on an NTSC copy of Brawl on a PAL Wii) is not applied.

Unfortunately I can't remember what setup of CFG, cIOSx and Brawl- versions I had last time I played and Brawl- worked. I haven't yet tested if cheats work on other games but other games at least have the same issue with hook types in their settings.

I still have the disc and Riivolution but load times are MUCH better from USB so I'd appreciate some help. Thank you!

hi , im new here and kind of new to usb loaders and cIOS and i have a few questions:

1. How do I boot a game off of another cIOS? When i pick that option it looks like there is only a select few I can pick from

2. I read that cIOS 56 supports the most games. If i just google that and install that ios, will that option be available to choose from when im booting a game?

3. Will i have to reinstall the usb launcher to run games off of 56? i installed it on 249 i believe

4 Finally, ive had some trouble booting Mario Kart Wii off 249. Sometimes it boots and sometimes it sticks on the part before it boots the ios and i have to reset. does this mean im using the wrong cios?

I am having the exact same problem, I was on the Irc channel trying to get some help on this, but not answer. It would also be nice if the Cheat Manager would remember your last selected cheats. Sometimes its hard to remember your last good configuration. Anyways everything else is working perfectly! Thanks to everyone on this project.

Hello, I wanted to ask if it would be possible to save ID6 instead of ID4 for the favourites in the settings.cfg?
Because I got original Mario Kart Wii (RMCP01) and three Customs by Wiimm (RMCP06, RMCP07, RMCP08). So if I save the original Mario Kart as favourite, the other ones get automatically saved too.
