Hacking Configurable USB Loader

I have a WBFS formated HDD and that's the weird thing.
Well,I will explain my steps more detailed.
I installed in slot 250 this wad "cIOS250[56]-v21d2x5-alpha1".It has as base 56 so,I suppose MPT shoud have worked with ios reload block enabled.But it did not.The game resets when it tries to load a game after the title menu.
I am totally clueless....
 
You're right, i thought COD3 is COD:BO, sorry about that.

about ntfs ask... unfortunately too little time for minor stuff like that, i guess you could just use ntfs_write = 1 and always take the risk ...

Well, the existing NTFS support in CFG doesn't know how to handle the "compression" flag (as used by Win XP/Vista), CFG won't even read ISO's from a compressed folder.

Exactly, right now CFG can put the whole NTFS logic outside the cIOS with the frag list list. If the file is compressed, then the cIOS would need to decompress it, meaning you would need parts of libNTFS in the cIOS, while right now it doesn't matter to the cIOS if it's loading from FAT or NTFS.

I have tried that and it doesn't work for me either.
It worked with ios slot 249 i need to investigate this further...

actually ... it still doesn't work with d2x v5alpha1 in either 249 or 250 slots.
I was testing with an early test made by wiipower, with that one it works...

Thanks WiiPower, that makes a lot of sense to me now. Looks like I'll be sticking to WBFS for my game storage.

You can still just disable ntfs compression, why would you need that anyway?
The .wbfs file format is already compacted as much as possible, ntfs compression will not reduce the size any further...
ah unless you wanted to use .iso ... anyway it's your choice...

Similar problems like Airline, but with MPT (tested with MP2 Echoes)

* Neogamma: blocking worked
* cfg v69a1: blocking failed
* but now: cfg v69a3: blocking works!!!!

CoD3,Sam and Max Season 1,Splinter Cell DA,House of the Dead 2+3.
Oggzee everything seems to work flawlessly.....EXCEPT Metroid Prime Trilogy.
Ironically,this is the only game that the game caused a hard reset.Let me explain better.
I started MP1 and everything worked.After that I tried to load MP2 Echoes and there IS a problem.The game resets in the intro sequence.I re-tried and again the same results occured.After that,I started MP3 and the game was playable perfectly just like MP1.It seems that only MP2 Echoes has some problems.
As you have the game,can you please test it yourself?

It's weird ..............

I saw few people confirmed COD3 is no problem by using v69a3.
But I still got blocked (frozen) problem ..... (v69a3+cIOS249[56]d2xv5alpha1).

Have also tried few other games (according to http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=211537)
like "Medal of Honor Heroes 2" ,it did work.

Don't know what's wrong with my COD3 (it's an EU version :RCDX52).

But all these games (COD3 ,Medal of Honor Heroes 2 ...) work by using NeoGamma .
 
Can those people with not working IOS Reloading games please check their settings? Anything enabled that patches the game? Ocarina, video mode patches, region patches? Return to channel should be safe if it's working as intented.

Single player.I did not try multi because it needs another Wiimote.
I can't use Neogamma because it uses as default slot 249 while I used slot 250 to install d2x.

@airline I can not imagine why you have this problem.I am using PAL CoD3 too.Also,I can confirm that this is a game that by patching all video modes can run in 480p.

@WiiPower.Perhaps,you are on to something.MPT is the only game I had Ocarina codes activated.Perhaps this is what caused this.I will try with Ocarina OFF again and report back.
 
For COD3 ,I didn't enable any option except turning on "Block IOS Reload".
(same setting by using NeoGamma and CFG)
 
@WiiPower you were right.As soon as I disabled Ocarina cheats,MP2 loaded normally and I actually played the game for 15 minutes without problems.With Ocarin OFF Metroid Prime Trilogy seems to work perfectly (the only thing I have not tested yet is multi).

@Airline, in which slot have you installed d2x?If you used 249 then make sure that you choose IOS 249 in CoD3's options via CfG.Alt dol OFF and Block IOS Reload ON.I think that my settings are the same as yours.Another reason I can think of is that perhaps you have a bad iso.
 
is your COD3 original, or modified to cios249 as base?
maybe thats an issue, i remember 2 images in downloads, one original..one patched

Well,I honestly have no idea because I had bought the game and ripped it manually with the loader.Sorry...
