During this year you should have used a disk. If you can afford a usb hdd, you can afford a blank dvd.

That doesn't count if your Wii has a D3-2/D4 drive, like mine. And where I live, a new/used D2C drive is very expensive.

Hello, for some reason I cannot get the loader v61 to work off my Wii anymore as it goes to a black screen so I loaded it off my SD from HBC and worked fine so I updated it via wifi to the latest v68 but still does not load from the channel and have to load it off the SD. How do I uninstall it from the Wii so I can re-install it from my SD? I don't see any option in Global Settings to install it to my Wii or to uninstall it. It's been a while and can't remember how I installed it as a channel. Thanks

Hi, I don't think so, as I use to load CFG USB loader right from my WII homepage but cannot now as it just goes to a black screen when I click Start, on Channel and I see the CFG v68d splash screen then goes black instead of loading the menu of all my games on my USB hard drive. Works if I leave my SD card in.

Ok, well I'll read your Forwarder thread and see what i need to do now. Thanks

A forwarder only forwards to the app in your apps directory on you SD/USB.. that is why you need to have the SD in.

* d2x v5+ ios reload block on wbfs (tnx WiiPower & davebaol)
* d2x v4+ return to channel method (tnx WiiPower & davebaol)
* added value: return_to_channel = auto
will try to detect the channel id from where the loader was started.
(although some forwarders are not auto detected properly,
but the official one by FIX94 is)

It is excellent you have implemented the new Block IOS reload method for the d2x v5 alpha.I suppose that we must have the option Block IOS Reload to "ON" in order to use this new feature properly?Am I correct?

@oggzee, I tested COD3 by using v69a+cIOS249 v56d2x v5 alpha1 and set "Block IOS
Reload" =ON , however, it doesn't work for my WBFS HD. (block on the "loading" screen as before)

On the other hand ,I tried to use Neogamma R9 beta 48+cIOS249 v56d2x v5 alpha1
for the same game (COD3) and it worked. (set "Block IOS Reload = For discs)

Suppose the option "For discs" in the Neogamma is the same as "ON" in the CFGUL
for "Block IOS Reload". Not sure why it doesn't work in CFG.

Did I miss anything ?
 
And that's exactly what happened also to me.The only thing different is that I have installed d2x v5 alpha1 (base 56) in slot 250.CoD3 did not work unfortunately...

Yes, it shows "IOS Reload:Blocked" before the game is started.

I don't have other games (EX:CSI) to verify "block IOS reload".
(only COD3)

Well,I tried three games again (CoD3,SC DA and Metroid Prime Trilogy) and none of them worked.I am sure that it says IOS Reload:Blocked just before the games start.
I am thinking that perhaps it plays a sigificant role the alt.dol option which I set to OFF.Does it make any change if I set alt.dol to Disk?
 
Eh looks like ios reload block is broken in v69a.
I'll try to fix it, I'm sure it worked at some point...
 
Wii Sports Resort is a good game to test ios reload block.
The ios is reloaded when you go to the wiimote+ videos menu and when you go back to the game.

And the alt. dols are useless when ios reload block is enabled.

I have a question for you oggzee.

Any chance of updating the NTFS capability of CFG so that it can read from and write to compressed drives/folders? I prefer NTFS instead of FAT32 for my drives. Right now I'm using a split drive with 60G NTFS and about 690G WBFS...
 
Oggzee,I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the same games freeze just like in the previous release.
I selected alt.dol OFF and Block IOS Reload ON and chose IOS 250(the exact slot I installed d2x v5 alpha1 (base 56) at my settings.

COD3 is not a ios reload game it needs a cios with base 57

i don't know what SC DA is?

metroid prime trilogy works for me with d2x and ios reload block enabled.

note: d2x ios reload block only works on WBFS partition at the moment. FAT, NTFS and EXT are not supported yet.
Maybe this is what is preventing you to make it work?
