just update to v65-222 and everything works great
until I update titles.txt, I cannot start loader anymore. It's just freeze at title screen
Delete titles.txt and problem solved

Anyone got this problem?

It probably wasn't downloaded properly, so CFG hung.

@daveangel: add gui_style = coverflow3d to your config.txt file (it's in the usb-loader folder, in SD root). However, I suggest you to read the README file, or use the Configurator for any further problem.

hi.

i cant make the loader start in 3d flow, i always have to press B. anyone help me out i cant see an option anywhere to change v065

thanks
The option you want is:

gui = start

Add that line to config.txt

QUOTE(rrestiaux @ Feb 27 2011, 02:44 AM) Everything works good for me, i just have one question. Can CFG read more than 200 games on a single partition?
Yes.

i need help getting config loader to read port 1 because port 0 is broken. i have downloaded rev21 and both v21d2x2 wads installed aswell but it still doesnt work.

Good to see you back Dr Clipper - I am missing my regular dose of new beta versions

Quick question - is there any disadvantage/difference with using Cfg 222 and setting an individual game to load with with cIOS249 against just using the Cfg 249 version, apart from just having to manually configure the cIOS option in that game?

Doctor, just a question: doesn't he need the gui_style = coverflow3d option, given that the gui = start one is already present in the config.txt?

I've had family health issues for the last month that have consumed almost every moment of my time, but things are back to normal now, so I should be able to get back into my normal tack.

As for the question, there is only a minor difference that it takes time to switch between IOSes, so it takes a little longer to launch the game in that mode. Some drives also fail if you try to switch IOS mid-stream that way, but most people should be fine.

The method I recommend is to use the plain version of Cfg and set the ios option in meta.xml to choose the base IOS you wish to use for most games. Then just change the ios option in the per-game options for any game that you want something different for. We plan to phase out the 222 version very soon so that everybody uses this method.

The complaint was that he had to push B each time to switch to the GUI. This indicates the gui option was not set and perhaps only the Cfg .dol was installed without the default Cfg we supply or something. The gui_style option is needed too, but that is better off appearing in settings.cfg as the value there has priority over config.txt.

v65 hangs at the title screen ('cfg' screen). I reverted back to v64 and all works well. I am using Waininko's cios 249 v14. It's always worked well and CFG v65 even worked the first couple of times I tried it - even played a couple of hours. Then, wham! - freezes at the startup screen every time.

I reformatted my external drive (WBFS) and reinstalled the games. No love. I reformatted at FAT32. No love. I tried NTFS (since I read that CFG can read NTFS?) - CFG started up, but gave me 'no WBFS partition detected'.

Reverted back to v64.... perfect!

Are there any particular logs or information or information that might help the developers?

Oh, okay. Thanks for the exhaustive answer.

You can try the v65-debug.dol and see where it hangs.

Try installing rev21d2x from modmii. use the 249 and 250 versions. v65 of cfg should work then!

Hey oggzee, question for you. I did read and look first but nervous about messing up any of my settings. Which setting is it that i would change in the configurator to make the text that you read for the game description, either white or black instead of gray? Thanks.

When I run Fifa 08, I get to the warning screen, but I can't connect any wiimotes.
Any fix for this?

Edit: Never mind, I found a fix. I had to load an alternate dol.

I have 2 questions for CfG devs

1) Is it possible in the future to implement diretc SD access to the loader in order to boot VC/Wiiware games from the SD card?

2)Now,this question is perhaps silly, but I will give it a try.Is it possible to implement WiiPower's Swiss booter (of course it will require a SD gecko) with a nice GUI?

Thanks for your response zizer! But wad2iso only works to emulated nand.I had in mind something that boots directly the wads using the real nand...

We've mentioned several times that it's a big no for any support of VC/Wiiware WADs. There is no tangible benefit to playing them off the SD except for piracy, and none of the current devs of Cfg support piracy.

As for Swiss support, we don't have much time right now, but that is something that might be added in future versions.

Thanks for your answer Dr.Clipper!
But,why is direct SD booting related through piracy?I did not mention USB WAD support through nand but direct SD access in order to load original VC/Wiiware games with a nice GUI and beautiful covers.
Can you reconsider,please?
As for Swiis support,I hold my breath and keep my fingers crossed!

I can not express enough my gratitude for your excellent work!

Because you already get a nice GUI and covers in the Wii Menu. The time to transfer a game from the SD to the Wii via the Wii's own firmware is not that much of a wait.
