Not familiar with CFGurator, is this something I need to install on my wii so I can download different themes from the Internet?

No.

The Configurator for CFG Loader is a tool for Windows-native PCs (but it also runs on MAC and Linux machines through Mono) that helps you to configure the various CFG options using an intuitive GUI and descriptions for every option.

At the end of the work, it creates configuration files that have to be moved into the SD card in the way that CFG Loader can read them and act accordingly to them.

Go to the related topic to see in detail what it is.

Ok, I'll check it out. So once I do all my configurations on my PC, I then need to re-install the program back to my WII? or just copy the new config file to my HDD? It probably says all this in the Turorial, right

The software have some "generate" buttons. This buttons make the theme.txt and configs too and you copy this files and paste in your SD/USB or use the install button and then the new configs are "installed" on your SD/USB.

I don't know about this, but looks like a wide forced in a 4:3 TV

If you are using a 4:3 TV try to set the configs to widescreen to "auto" or force 4:3.

In config.txt set this

Code:
widescreen = auto

or

CODEwidescreen = 0

i will try it in 10 or 9 hours
tongue.gif
its night-time where i am living
tongue.gif

but it seems that the whole wii has suffered a little from this. even the system menu has shrinked...
but my ssbb disc seems to be able to look normal... but im not sure how the home menu should look like..
when i play pbr andclick home, the first line of the H is missing so it looks like -I

could this be because i installed ios70 wad?
i think it was called IOS70-64-v6687 [Patched][FreeTheBug].wad

this is what i did today:

installed IOS70-64-v6687 [Patched][FreeTheBug] and updated my hbc to 1.0.7 ( dont remember which thing i did first.)
loaded priiloader from hbc and installed priiloader by holding b + + which i think installed priiloader on ios249
then i enabled the system hacks in priiloader:

Remove NoCopy Save File Protection
Block Disc Updates
region free things.

im considering to do a nand recovery, but do you think it will fix it?
or is this just a thing i could configurate?

Try the more simple first. If you dont need make changes on system for a unique game, its better

If in disc load is everything OK, looks like configuration... but, This is a shoot answer, I don't really know.
Try the wide config until Dr. Clipper or someone from CFG team answers

If it's affecting the system menu then it's not our problem. Check your Wii's configuration settings and your TV's settings and get that fixed first.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask and I did do a search but I got over 700 pages the first time and when I reworded my search phrase I still got over 350 pages...I'm using the latest rev of usb loader but I can't get the install option to work. I was under the assumption that you loaded a cd and launched usb loader and hit install. That would then start ripping the game from disc to your external HD. When I do that, it just goes back to my normal screen which is showing me the games on my HD. Anyone help please? I've checked the youtube videos and can't find this unlock feature that the videos show. Also the videos look like they're made using an older version of usb loader as thet screenshots don't match up to what mine looks like?

Edit: Ignore this post...it's in the wrong thread...I'll copy it there myself, sorry for the confusion

thanks for replying. im sorry i just didnt know where to ask... but i think i can live with it. im seems that it is only my pokemon pbr which has actually been very affected. the rest has only lost on mm or so... so i think it is because my widescreen isnt wide enough

is it a bad iso? or is it supposed to be like that?

which is the most stable version that can run arc rise fantasia. you have to have passed the 2nd town vada that's where it freezes in GX.

v56 freezes at that exact spot.

but is it possible to force a single game to 4:3 on usbloader while the rest of the wii is 16:9?
I don't know this... See "game settings" on Configurator...

@Dr. Clipper,

Until now I have used the CFG loading the dol by HBC, and now I want to install a forwarder or a Channel, or both..
What is the most recommended? I see some options in the first page of this thread and I like the "Hybrid" Channel+Forward. I want the most updated and most compatible with the last changes. You can help me to choose?

I want to know too, how the channel read the covers? the same way of the .dol loaded by the HBC? (in the base-directory?)

Thanks!

You don't want the hybrid. Those channels are old and virtually useless. When not operating in forwarder mode, they don't have any access to covers or config.

I suggest you follow the instructions to install a forwarder from my tutorial here.

Hi all.

First of, I would like to thank the team behind cfg for such a great usb loader. I switched from USBLoaderGX not too long ago and I am really happy with cfg's ease of use for a person with limited vision such as myself.

Next, I have noticed a lot of people have had issues with loading Arc Rise Fantasia from a USB drive. I just added the game to my drive and will post the results of using CIOSX rev19 with base 57. I hope I can give back to the community that has given me so much useful information.

EDIT: as I thought... everything works right out of the box with 249 rev 19 57 base. hope this helps someone who may be having problems. I did pass the freeze point everyone is talking about in other threads. I figured I would post this here to help other cfg users with this issue.

Try the clean patches function. I have seen a report that the spot can be passed on discs? If yes which loader? Also which cIOS do you use? Have you tried Hermes V4 something + IOS37 and/or cIOS37rev19?
