I did an online update to 52b Fat and I noticed that when I launch a game now it says load yal instead of m-load.
I don't even have that installed only Hermes cIOS 222.
No big deal the games play fine, but I wanted to make it known and see if anyone else is seeing this.
It was a translation error. It should be fixed in 52b2, I think.

Firstly, update to the latest version of the loader (52b2).

Secondly, if you aren't already using it, try using IOS222 to boot the Kingston drive (add ios=222-mload to config.txt). It tends to have better compatibility.

thanks Dr. Clipper.
currently i am using Cfg_USB_Loader_48.
Now downloaded cfg52b2.dol and cfg52b2-fat.dol.

do i need to rename cfg52b2.dol as boot.dol. how about cfg52b2-fat.dol where should i put it. do i need to rename it?

thanks
achu.

Yup, just rename the DOL to boot.dol. Use the "-fat" version if you use a FAT32 or NTFS partition.

What's the real difference between the fat and normal version? I can still play games on a fat32 or ntfs parition using the normal version.

The FAT version just has different default options.
CODEios=222-mload
partition=fat1
hide_hddinfo=1

You can use FAT32/NTFS on both versions, but you *should* use the "-fat" version for faster startup times.

Hi,

First, Thank's a lot to all of one working on Configurable USB Loader and thank's to those who help the others.

I use CFG and for me it's a very good loader.
Before, i used WBFS Disk format and all was OK

I change for trying FAT32 or NTFS Disk, and now i have 2 problems

The first one is i cannot add (using + ) or remove ( - ) some games directly with CFG
The second, is i cannot choose the CIOS249 38 rev17 ( i have also 222 and 223 ). I only can choose 222 or 223.
I try using USB loader GX and the 3 choices are free, so i think it's not due to 249.

Is it a specific configuration to use, or this is normal.

Thank's for revert
Regards

Hermes from uLoader found a way to emulate his loader to put saves for games on a sdcard.
This is awesome if that also could be implemented in cfg usbloader.

keep up the excellent work

I'm pulling my hair out here need help getting this thing working -

Setup -

* 4.1PAL Wii, 249 and 222 cIOS installed
* Configurable Loader - cfg52b2-fat
* HDD - Western Digital Elements 320GB USB powered drive (Formated as NTFS)

I've placed two games onto the HDD using Wii Game Manager 1.5.0.1, I converted the files using 2GB-32K split option. The files are on the HDD under HDD:\WBFS\files.wbfs

When I load up CfgLoader I get presented with a blank blue screen, if I push B it tells me no games are found...

Can somebody help.

Hi,

I'm having a very annoying problem with Animal Crossing City Folk when using this loader, I'm not entirely sure what causes it... When I exit a building, the game gets stuck rather randomly on the black loading screen with the bus icon, forcing me to hold down the power button on Wii. My Wii has 3.3E fw, cIOS249 rev9 and I'm using a WD My Passport hd (formatted in WBFS).

I noticed when the game gets stuck, the light has stopped blinking on the drive, so I'm wondering if it spins down at some point and never spins up or something? Do I need another kind of drive, and if so, any recommendations?

Or any other ideas what's causing this?

Thanks a lot.

I'm using the same setup, except that I'm on 4.2e, and haven't got any problems like that at all. I never had that problem back when I had 3.2 either so maybe you have a bad install of the game or something.

Sometimes it happens twice a day or so, and sometimes I can play several weeks with no problems, and I can't reproduce it since it happens so very randomly.

I'm going to try a new install.

Dont know if i am doing something wrong but i can't get any games to run using ntfs. I am putting the games in /wbfs/GAMEID.ISO and have ios 222. Also there is backup of my computer on the same partition . Does that matter ?

Edit

It's ok i haven't converted the iso to a .wbfs file

Aehm...the FAQ on the first site is realy outdated, and you shouldn't belive some of the words in it...(Oggzee...maybe work on this

?). You can play .iso-Files from your NTFS-partition, but the Path must be different...something like /wbfs/balaba/balab.iso. Can't remember though...have a look at the Read Me's, or Dr. Clippers Configurator...they'll tell you, because there are many possibilities for the path.

If you are using a FAT or NTFS formatted drive, you can't launch games with IOS249. That is why it won't let you choose it. Why can't you add and remove these games? What happens?

Try installing a game you own with +. Most of the time, this sort of problem is nothing to do with the loader, but is to do with the Manager.

Try upgrading IOS249 to rev 17. It fixes some spindown problems compared to rev 9.

My kingston 8gb does not work. Sorry but it's not compatible. My 4gb one works, and it's identical on the outside

It says in the guide:

Or a full channel without dependence on the SD card (See below in the Other useful download links)
But when I scroll down I don't see anything that could indicate that...

*SOLVED*
where do i put my GCT (ocarina cheat file)?

I made one using the PC tool. I just don't know where to place it. I don't have wireless on my wii.

I still have this error appearing randomly:
"ERROR: ISFS problem (-22)
Error storing playlog file.
Start from the Wii menu to fix.
Press A to continue
Press B to to back
Press Home to exit"

And even if I start Cfg from the Wii menu!

It happens if I start games from SD or from USB, sometimes once this error appear if I press A game launches, sometime not and I can't do anything (I have to unplug Wii).

I can't say why it occurs as sometimes for the same game it work perfectly and if I launch the same game the same way later it doesn't work anymore.

All I know is that it always appear when booting DVD as talked before, so maybe fixing DVD will fix the rest.

I don't know but this random bug is weird…

Note: And it does store history on message board! This part works
