@oggzee, may I ask you please, if I am not sure that all my .wbfs files were created by wbfs_file using the option -g (Copy only game partition from ISO), is there a way to check all my existing .wbfs files for presence of non game partitions?

Have you tried comparing the filesizes of your .wbfs files to those listed in the compatibility list?

Compatibility list

I get "File not found...Press Home to Exit" with just the USB drive connected, no SD card inserted. When I press Home, it boots correctly from the USB drive under usbloader_cfg. Any ideas?

You might have a slow harddrive, just like I do. When I used Narolez's forwarder, I needed to expand the checking-time to 7 seconds for the harddrive to initiate. Haven't tried the new one for priiloader yet.

Thanks for the quick reply. Narolez's forwarder worked fine but this makes sense because subsequent boots works perfectly unless I power completely down, then I get the File not found again and have to press "Home". I assume expanding the checking-time is something that needs to be built into the forwarder? I didn't see anything in Priiloader for that setting.

Thanks again!

Did you mean without a single hiccup? I can make no sense of your post otherwise. Did you reinstall the game between your two tests? If you installed the game using rev14 or rev16, then it would be buggy in any other revision.

Hi, thanks for replying. I really mean some videos play with a single hiccup on their execution (less than a sec), then they just flow normally. I installed the game using rev15, everything was alright back then. Not that those hiccups are a big problem, I was just wondering if they are more than it seems to be, like a bad hd, or some bug with rev17, etc.

install ios 249 (rev 14 most reliable ) , install hermes 63 and 64 no trucha fix , and every game will run with no problem ( well they do for us ) , im looking at the sourcecode now , going to see if i can fix the vbi hook problem.

no vi hook for you

thats helpfull ....

so will it be fixed in a later version or shall i start taking a look at it myself.

Feel free, since none of us use it - so its priority is about zero. If you submit a patch we'll add it.

Sorry but that's not possible with the current wbfs_file.
Maybe try with wwt, i think that tool has a dump command that will list the partitions in a wbfs file.

I have a problem that may be simple or is working for everyone but not for me
The problem is that my loader does not display the database info.

Ok let’s see if I’m doing something wrong
First I go to wiitdb.com or I use Dr. Clipper’s configurator to download wiitdb.zip in any language I desire.
Then I copy that intact wiitdb.zip in sd or usb: usb-loader/ depending where I store the configuration
Then If I run the loader instead of ( … ) I should see some info in the game I select.
The facts are:
The database I use is in English.
My wii language is in Spanish
I ran the loader without setting the config.txt
I ran the loader again with settings
Db language= EN
Show Db =1
If anyone can reply would be very helpful.

A fact that we forgot to mention is that wiitdb file needs to be called: wiitdb_partition.zip, so for example: wiitdb_FAT1.zip
This might change in the next version to only use wiitdb.zip not partition related names...
Check if this is your problem.
I assume your wii is not connected online?
As otherwise you could download it from the loader..

I'm saying we don't use cheats, so we'd honestly not know if it were broken

you know nintendo bans people for cheats online
only noobs go about hacking with games online, and they usually get caught and get owned by a good ban hammer

This is not correct, 14 has the dual layer bug. It can neither read nor install dual layer games (SSBB and MPT). Rev 15 and rev 17 seem to be the most stable when you are talking about Cfg.

Edit:

sigh...

OK, time to alter the Configurator then. Is there any reason for that? It doesn't change the wiitdb.zip file in any way, right?

Anyway, I tested the E3 2006 Brawl video now, and it played alright. Didn't test the intro though (I've even read about people having issues with the intro). Kinda strange, maybe it's just an occasional error.

The best one to test is the How to Play video. Installed with rev 14, it would always crash at exactly the same point (The apogee of Bowser after Up-Smashed by Mario).

Hi all, I need someone's experience/help.

I have been running V50 via Fat Formatted 4gb Flash Drive with absolutely no problems.

Recently I bought a 64gb Flash Drive and want to use it for my wii.

It was originally formatted to exFat but since USB Loaders can't handle it I changed it to NTFS.

After many attempts I still can't get this to work so I need help. Below is some background info

1)Changed config file "partition = ntfs1"
2)Using Mload=222 and Hermes 222
3)using v50c-fat.dol (should I change to v50.dol?)
4)When I attempt to run/mount my drive it shows "ok" then the blue light of the dvd drive starts to blink
5)Unplugging and replugging the flash drive when loader is trying to detect/mount USB Removable Drive does nothing

THanks!

Wizard1, only 2) seems problematic. You should be setting ios=222-mload (or not setting ios and let it use the default, which is IOS222 for the fat version. You might have better luck with FAT32 formatting.

All-in-all, it is probably just an incompatible drive. The compatibility level of Flash drives is quite low.

yes i have ios=222-mload setting from my previous 4gb fat config.

Unfortunately since my new drive is 64gb it only allows me NTFS or exFat formatting.

Before I had a flash drive that would only work if I plugged/unplugged it while trying to mount but asides from that all other flash drives have been ok for me.

Any explaination why my wii's dvd drive just continuously blinks after trying to mount?
