By any chance, you don't happen to have the lock switch on the card switched on do you?

Hehe, no

. I wish though, it would be a simple fix

I tried v49b2 just then, works on my 2gb (a generic brand) but not on my 16gb Kingston. Hope SDHC support does get fixed, It seems this loader doesn't like Kingston's at all. I complained about a 4gb Kingston not working ages ago. I would really like it to work on my 16gb, so i can just only use that from now on.

I've also formatted my 16gb many times with SDformatter v2.0 with different options but that didn't help. I've also tried formatting it with windows formatter and that didn't help either

PS can i be cheeky and PLEAD for a WAV or MP3 export option to get the banner music into the fat32 drive (anywhere, root, or the wbfs folder). apologies, its already a brilliant loader.
I believe you can extract the banner music file yourself with WiiScrubber. Then you just need to find a conversion tool. The loader doesn't have any code to convert them to .mp3s, so I doubt that option will ever surface.

Hey guys everything was working fine a few days ago but now whenever I try to load Configurable USB Loader it stays frozen on this screen and I tried my USB in both slots. I could not find a thread for this in the search engine of this forum.I also tried powering down the Wii and 49b2.

Try reinstalling your cios 249,222, and 223. Same thing happened on my son's Wii, which I believe he updated the shop channel and had those stubbed. As soon as I installed them again it worked.

ooook, so just to be clear... if i were to convert all of my games from ISOs, to .wbfs files i should use 4GB splits, and a 32kb cluster size is best. do the games still go in "X:\wbfs\GAMEID.wbfs,GAMEID.wbf1,etc." or is it more like "X:\wbfs\GAMEID_NAME\GAMEID.wbfs,GAMEID.wbf1,etc." please tell me which way it should be with the latest beta loader. as well the GAMEID.txt files are pretty much useless (except for us to look at...) so i can delete them right? finally, which GUI is the best choice (which one has the option for no GAMEID.txt files being made, can convert multiple files at once, has few bugs, puts all the files in the correct directories, and has the options for the best split/cluster?)?

i really read as much as i can, but im still sort of confused (due to oggzee's rapid updates.)

need help re wbfs 1.9 and move_dir2, please
i have several files that say
[...]
i can see it in this post and other posts re wbfs backup, but nothing in relation to a FAT32 partition
i have this in the BAT file
Code:
set WBFS_DIR=j:\wbfs
wbfs_file.exe, resplit.bat, move_dirs2.bat and all the *.txt & *.wbfs files are in j:\wbfs\
Any ideas? Many thanks

You can try editing the script and put this line:

set WBFS_FILE=%WBFS_FILE% -f

before this line:

VERIFY OTHER 2>nul

and run

Just use the default settings of both Configurable v49b2 and USB Loader GX r850 ....
- the default splits is 4GB
- the .wbfs files go in the game subfolders, for example:
/wbfs/RIMP6M_Impossible Mission/RIMP6M.wbfs
/wbfs/RIMP6M_Impossible Mission/RIMP6M_Impossible_Mission.txt
/wbfs/RW8P41_Imagine Champion Rider/RW8P41.wbfs
/wbfs/RW8P41_Imagine Champion Rider/RW8P41_Imagine_Champion_Rider.txt
- you can delete the GAMEID.txt files

I use wbfs_file 1.9 , otherwise you can try also Simple WBFS File Manager 2.5. Fig2k4 is working also on a new version of Wii Backup Manager

With v49b2 (other versions untested), I am unable to dump games one after the other to my hard drive. It just freezes on the screen saying "Install game" (no mention of "Opening DVD disc...").
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I have the loader configured to use Hermes's IOS222 (IOS38+60), if it matters.
Other than this minor issue, it works like a charm.

I'm not able to reproduce this problem, a few questions:
- using wbfs or fat for games?
- using usb or sd for games?
- using the normal 49b2.dol or 49b2-fat.dol?
- Not sure i understand completely your problem, are you saying that the first time you install it works fine but the second time (with another game) it fails?

QUOTE(teconmoon @ Dec 8 2009, 12:18 AM) Just wondering, am I the only one that's having trouble installing games to SD Cards formatted as FAT with v49b2? I can load games fine but once I try to install a game, it says Not enough free space, 0GB out of 0GB available, and then loading games or doing anything else SD card related for that matter seems horribly broken until the loader is reset.
ok i have reproduced this problem, will fix it soon.

Since moving the usb-loader folder from my SD card to my FAT32 hard drive I've been unable to use the online update feature (the App is on the SD card still and being loaded with a priloader forwarder).
It goes through the Downloading ............ part but then gives: error opening sd:/apps/usbloader/boot.dol
Prior to moving the folder it worked fine (but they were all older versions). Both the SD card and the USB hard drive have a single FAT32 partition.
The following information is from the loader (it is all correct though)

App. Path: sd:/apps/usbloader
FAT32 mount: SD (Standard) USB-HDD
CFG base: usb:/usb-loader
Loader Version: 49b-fat
IOS222 (Rev 4) [FAT]

Eject your SD-card and try again

BUG FOUND

I've done some futher testing and found it is a bug with cfg usb loader. I made a mistake in my original post when I said that all the locations were correct. The loader is incorrectly reporting the App. Path.
App. Path: sd:/apps/usbloader

It should really be:
App. Path: sd:/apps/usbloader_cfg

It is detected correctly when the CFG base is on the SD card, but incorrect when on usb. I tried renaming the app folder to usbloader and it updates fine.

IN SUMMARY
There is a problem with the code that detects the App. Path when the CFG base is on usb.

I suspect the problem is in the forwarder which might pass the location incorrectly.
Does it work if you run it from HBC (you can switch to usb from inside HBC)
If that is indeed the problem then the forwarder needs fixing, which one do you use?

QUOTETalking of SD cards, anyone have any experience using a Sandisk 4gb MicroSDHC card with the loader?

I've set the loader up on a Transcend 2gb MicroSD card as a test, and it works fine (wbfs mode) but the 4gb SDHC card is having none of it - the loader runs and shows the games on it, but when you press A to start a game it just says "loading game..." (paraphrased, I can't remember exactly what it says) and hangs there.

Tried both wbfs and fat for the 4gb card.
Sandisk 4gb SDHC doesn't work for me, whilst a Transcend 2gb SD does.

After having a failed game install (dirty disc) i tried reinstalling it and now get "wbfs error: hd num sector doesn't match" can i safely delete anything that was written to my FAT partition in windows without getting the delete bug? or does this mean its already ballsed up? using 49b2-fat.

also does the delete bug only effect WBFS partitions?

can i use defrag on the drive?

sorry for all the questions but its taking me forever to catchup 300+ pages to go.

Thanks.

Hit the nail on the head. Loading CFG from HBC with the CFG base on usb and the App on SD works fine. The forwarder I had installed in Priloader was NFowarderUSBLoaderCFG.dol (USBLoaderCFG_NForwarder link in the first post) which is date stamped 8 October 2009 1:56 PM.

Now I use Priloader with the forwarder USBLoaderCFG_Forwarder.dol from USBLoaderCFG_Forwarder-R3.rar which works correctly. So the problem is with NFowarderUSBLoaderCFG.dol

I don't know if its by design or not, but I've found that 49b2-fat doesn't set hide_hddinfo = 1 like the older fat versions did (I think it was mentioned in a prior post but I've included it just in case). Adding hide_hddinfo = 1 to the config file takes care of the problem. I've checked my theme and confirmed that it doesn't have hide_hddinfo anywhere in it.

cfg v49 (release)
Cfg_USB_Loader_49.zip (full package)
cios_mload_cfg49.zip (ehcmodule_fat source)
cfg49.dol
cfg49-fat.dol
(or online update)

Changes:

cfg v49 (release)

* Fixed install game on SD/FAT
* Override [w]covers_size theme option with config.txt
* simple=0 will not unset hide_hddinfo when using -fat version
* Only one "#GAMEID" string inside binary - for direct starting

cfg v49b2 (beta2)

* Improved speed of loading game list when using FAT and /wbfs/id_title/ subdirs
* Changed default: fat_install_dir=1
* When downloading titles.txt and wii region is JA or KO force EN in titles_url {CC}
* Allow specifying alt_dol=name (on disc) when using direct start
* Accept GAMEID without # as argument for direct start (RHAP01 instead of #RHAP01)
* Override some theme options in base config.txt.
The options that can be overriden are those that don't
have a major effect on the theme looks and layout:
- hide_header
- hide_hddinfo
- hide_footer
- buttons
- simple
- cover_style
- cursor
- menu_plus
- gui_text_*
- gui_text2_*
- gui_title_top
* Save cfg loader version when saving gamelist.txt

cfg v49b (beta)

* Added BCA dump to file from install menu
(Press + to install and then press 1 to dump BCA)

cfg v49a (alpha)

* Games on SDHC with IOS 222/223 for both FAT or WBFS partition
* Games in subdirs on FAT: /wbfs/GAMEID_TITLE/GAMEID.wbfs
option: fat_install_dir = [0], 1
* Rename old boot.dol to boot.dol.bak when upgrading
* If the loader is used to start a game directly
(from a channel created with crap or similar tools)
and option: intro=0 is specified then no intro
and no progress is displayed until the game is started
* Support for .wip game patches (by WiiPower)
Loaded from: sd:/usb-loader/GAMEID.wip (text format)
* Support for BCA data (by Hermes)
Loaded from: sd:/usb-loader/GAMEID.bca (binary data of size 64 bytes)
(updated dip plugin from uloader 3.2)
* option: disable_nsmb_patch=[0],1 will disable the builtin nsmb patches
(in case someone wants to use/test the external .wip patch or .bca data)
* Enable WiiRD if usb gecko is connected and ocarina is enabled
even if not codes are found (by Rfrf)
* Ocarina url fix: /R/ID6 instead of /ID1/ID6 (for SNM*)

You should find a partial WBFS file (or files if it was large enough to split and the dump got that far) for the game on your drive (you'll have to find out what the game's ID is, then hunt through the folder or subdirectories for it). Delete the WBFS file, and it should let you install again.

*edit*
Oh, to clarify...you'll need to do this from whatever OS you're using on your computer. When this happened to me I don't think the game showed up in the gamelist, though I could be wrong.
